Wonderful theater that brings unique and original cutting edge stories to the stage. The staff is friendly and there is not a bad seat in the house. General Admission seating. Parking lot a few feet away.

This place is way cool. They have performances all year long and most of them are fantastic! Think of this as amped up, risky, fun community theater. Most of what the Magnetic Theater does is original or completely off of the wall. They hire local actors that just want to do real raw theater. This ain't no place for a happy happy joy joy musical. You will find all kinds of raw shows. I really need to support this place more! I have only seen 2 performances here but everything that I hear of sounds super cool!

Pleasantly Surprised! First time visit. Didn't know what to expect. We were in town for a last minute long weekend and love live theater. This was the opening night for the show we saw and it was quality. We would definitely go again if had the opportunity.

While on visit to Asheville, my mom and I went here and participated in the ride along theatre. I had tons of fun! I'd say the performance was a great mix of humor, surprises, and positive messages. Also, the theatre building itself is pretty awesome. There's lots of art all over the walls and there is a studio with artists actively working. The people are very friendly and personable.

thursday nite's preview of Terry Tempest: The Final Interview received an immediate & sustained standing ovation.... as it should have. last nite's preview sold out. Jamieson Ridenhour's play isn't just hilarious. it's poignant, important, heartbreaking, & yes.... it even made me cry. Cody Magouirk, Hayley Heninger, Carrie Kimbrell Kimzey, & Pascale LaCorte delivered impeccable performances & Rodney Smith's direction was spot-on. put all that into Kehren Barbour's gorgeous set.... it's a perfect storm of high-quality original art.... & what i've come to expect from The Magnetic Theatre.....don't miss this show.
