This daycare just had a Gun fight outside and had to go on lockdown. Not the first time this TLE has had issues. Articles in WSOCTV AND WBTV. Parents showed up and started shooting at each other while children were inside. Parents cars were damaged with bullet holes. Happy and grateful that no one was injured. Beware

I absolutely recommend this day care. They are kind and compassionate I have not once had any problems. They have upheld to safe practices during the pandemic making me feel comfortable taking my son there every day. They also take time to get to know the parents and children. I love this daycare and am so happy with the love and care they have for children.

We joined TLE when my other daycare closed due to COVID. My son was about 14 months when we started and I was SHOCKED at how quickly he started hitting milestones and learning. He was a different kid, more disciplined, using sign language. It was a weird time because I've never even seen the inside of the building due to the COVID restrictions but the staff is so warm and kind. Every person there learns your kid's name and truly cares. We are moving out to the Matthews area in a month and I'm transferring him to the Stallings TLE just so he has the same curriculum and values. It's a great place, highly recommend.

This is the worst child care I ever had my child in. For one they don't have a oven. And give the kids undone food. Lots of can food. Like they in jail. It have a smell when you walk in. The front desk stuff is always talking about some one. They had a lock down do to the fact that one of the lady's at the front desk had a fight with a family member and he came to the center with a gun. They didn't inform the parents until a week later. Something could have happened to my son. And no one said anything. Very poor expectations. But very high in cost. It's not worth my so. Life to keep him in such a unprofessional place. Several employees have quit as well as parents have left the center do to it a lot going on. State have been here many time do to a complaints. I don't recommend this child care for anyone.

My child went here for almost 2 years and for the amount of money that you will be spending, I would tell you to keep on going. There are too many internal issues with this location. Check out the NC DHHS website... they are a 3 star daycare with 5 start prices. Be aware that there have been issues with employees. All this comes from being in the school and seeing first hand how it operates. It had to go on lockdown because an employee was threatened and a gun was brought onto campus. The police were called and we as parents were not properly notified. The state came in and removed a teacher, for pinching ears as punishment. She has since left the school. Other parents have had issues with this school from too many kids being left with teachers and ratios being incorrect too not even being able to get sunblock put on my child daily. Again check out the NC DHHS website... Its all there. They will do great at workbooks and all the check marks, but they are also hard on your kids for it. If they are not one of the teachers favorites, they will be treated different. BEWARE....BEWARE. And notice how few reviews, probably because all the bad ones they report and have removed. 1 Star Place for sure.

I took my son out of a more prestigious daycare nearby. Since the price was higher at the first daycare, as a first time mom I thought the quality of service and care would be better so I spent more for the "better" service. That was, horrifyingly, not the case. I unenrolled him after a series of incidents and now he attends the Learning Experience and have been here for about 7 months and I am THRILLED. We started in the infant 1 classroom, went through infant B (older infants) and he's now in the toddler classroom. At The Learning Experience, my son at 14 months is happy to see he is using four sign-language signs correctly to communicate, he uses eating utensils the way they are intended to be used, he LOVES his teachers and the administrators, and he stays MUCH healthier than he did at the expensive daycare. The transitions between classrooms were smooth and unrushed. Food is provided but you are free to bring in your own food. They make it easy. The facility has a very cute make-believe/indoor play room for older kids. They have spacious outdoor play space and they take them out frequently. They have a satisfying hygiene policies like hand washing for the kids before they join other children. If you have a concern, they investigate and address it promptly every single time. They take ownership if they were in the wrong and immediately work to make it right. They accommodate children with diet restrictions very well. My infant was well taken care of, clean and well rested any time of day I would stop by. They use huge white boards on the walls to keep track of feeding, diaper changes, and special instructions so they (any rotating teachers in and out & parents) have easy access to the information. (They last daycare he went to had a notebook system and no one seemed to know about the information that I left for them when I dropped him off. It was very aggravating). The women who work there are kind, patient, and not lazy.I would recommend this preschool/daycare to my sister & my friends.

So I'm not even sure where to begin , my wife just received a letter from a collection agency seeking one months tuition from the learning experience. We paid full tuition for the month of March and then the pandemic really hit. He only went 10 days since I don't have to work and my wife is a TA and was sent home from school like all school faculty. The governor and all local health agencies directed parents to not send their children to school if they didn't have to. We made the choice to keep our child as safe as possible. My son would have attended two more months , April and May , before graduating to kindergarten. I can't believe that these people would try to profit off of people in the middle of a pandemic. It's not like we asked for this to upend our lives ! I would strongly advise against anyone sending their children to TLE in the future , it's blatantly obvious and sad that these people only care about money and not the health and safety of their students.

This school is fantastic! Everyone of the staff members is always in high spirits which says a lot of the culture here. They all take pride and joy in what they do. My daughter is in Ms. Marina's classroom. It is truly a classroom. I can tell how much they're learning because not only is there always some learning activity going on when I drop her off in the mornings, but she is constantly showing me and telling me about the things she's learning in her classroom. We've been to three other places before and this is by FAR the best one we've been in!

If you have a infant you might want to think twice. While everyone at the center will greet you with open arms and make you feel like the most important client this is just an act. My son went to this child care provider for about a month/little over a month. I am a first time mother and very protective over my baby boy. The first two days his feeding schedule was not followed. He received 16 ounces of milk within 2 hours. When I complained the director was very involved but also tried to shift the blame stating that; that is the reason that she suggest bringing as extra bottle. She did not understand that an extra bottle would not have been a resolution. The last thing he needed wasMORE milk. She also suggested him drinking half the bottle at one time and the other hours later which is a state violation but most importantly infants have to drink the milk within an hour after the bottle has started. It was pretty scary that the director didn't know this. Hey things happen I let this slide but voiced my concern. A few small things took place that didn't bother me too much, such as food in his hair when I pick him up at 5:30 when his last feeding was at 1:45, food in his nose, food and milk all over his shirt. The teachers were very nice seemed to care so I would just call this out during conversation. On a fri I pick up my son and he was wet, while the teacher is changing his clothes I notice the inside of his lip is busted. When I asked she stated that another teacher was in the room and he fell in the kitchen area. Nothing was written up and I wasn't called. This pissed me off. I go to speak with the director whom called the teacher up that was in the infant room with my son and she quickly wrote an incident report up. I asked to speak with her and she said that my son stood up on the high chair turned and fell. She saw all of this but didn't know if he fell and hit his head. She stated that she didn't see blood so she didn't call me nor document the incident. The director stated that she didn't want to take away from me being so up set but at this age they fall all of the time. Once again I had to defend myself and why this is not ok. Accidents happen but communication is huge. My son is only 9months for Pete's sake. He can't tell me that he fell on a tile floor. I forgave this. Well my sons clothes were changed this day and honestly I completely forgot that she changed his clothes after seeing my babies lip. The next tues I pick up my son to find him in his crib, under a window with only a diaper on!!!! The teacher handed him to me in a receiving blanket that can't even fit around him. It was 30 degrees outside and this is how I am supposed to take my child outside. He was without any clothes on since 4 from what I was told. No one called me about bringing him clothes, they have a washer/dryer on site but they left my baby without any clothes on. I am very involved with my child, I call every day and visit during the day as offer as I can. Everyone there knows I work and live 5 minutes away I would have been there in a blink of an eye. The teacher was very apologetic but the owner Donna whom was at the front desk was very cold and rude. I was so angry I was shaking. At this point at myself and them. Myself for giving them passes and not taking signs when seeing others babies with crusted snot over the lip, babies under the crib stuck crying and hitting their head, babies having food stuffed in there mouth fast BC they are trying to rush and so on. I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt but it was all at the cost of my baby. To this day the director has not called to apologize (the teacher told her to call me about the clothes when it happen), the director saw me the following day did not address me at all, Joy the assistant director and the teachers are the only ones that acted as if they gave two cents about my baby. I will spend my $1000 somewhere that has customer service and cares about the infants. Don't let their welcoming attitude fool you. At the end of the day it's all about the Benjamin's.
