The cracklings were out of this world! Really really enjoyed how tasty and fresh they were. All other dishes were also nice. Most notably were the green beans. They were a bit spicy for the kids but otherwise very good. Kids meals were decently priced at under $10 per person.Service was great - our guy knew a lot about different IPAs.

This bbq joint is located in a mall area with plenty of close parking. The interior is warm, welcoming and spacious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We came here after watching Guy Fieri try this place on TV (DDD)We ordered the bbq charcuterie board with ribs, brisket, sausage, pulled pork and several sides. It was very tasty. Some brisket pieces were just a tad dry but overall e bbq was delicious. We loved their 6 different types of sauces. Overall, a good place for some bbq and try some Asian fusion bbq items.We

Was put on my radar way back after I saw the original location featured on DDD. Classic bar/bbq joint ambiance pumping out great food. Went late on a Tuesday so nearly had the place to ourselves which made for great and speedy service. Egg rolls may have been the star of the show even though all the meats were solid and flavorful

The ambiance was very nice! That was my first visit. I had not heard of the place before but because I work for an airline, I checked in the General Manager of the place months ago and he offered me a coupon for the restaurant that offered a FREE PLATE! I was told after my meal that the coupon didn't apply to the "PLATTER" I ordered. No big deal, I'll just have to go back! The food was great and so was the service! It's a super clean establishment and very pleasing to the eye as far as decor. Nothing fancy but it's top tier for a BBQ SPOT! Definitely would and have recommended to others! Now the HUSH PUPPIES was highly recommended in my research. They were FIRE in an extremely good way! 10/10! Overall, everything was nice! It didn't disappoint and was worth the drive to the Sandy Rock location from where I was located at the time. I'll be back!

Server was very friendly and the food was amazing! They were almost closing for the night so gave us extra brisket. The brisket was very tasty. Tons of sauces to try to.

This place is amazing, we will definitely be back. We were traveling through town and found this on yelp and decided to give it a try. On a cute little Street with retail and coffee, shops and pubs. There is parking in the back directly across from the police station.Ashley was our server and she was amazing, she recommended a flatbread appetizer called piggy pie, which is basically a little pizza with bacon, sausage sauce and cheese and while it was a bit sweet for my taste buds it was crazy delicious. Reasonable craft beer selection from the brewery next-door and both hard and soft cocktails available full bar. My sister and I split the charcuterie platter along with four sides and everything was amazing. Andouille sausage had just the right amount of spice and the brisket was very good. We also had the St. Louis style ribs and the pulled pork. on the table, they provide six different sauces to Asian style, one Carolina barbecue, one sweet honey barbecue, and a couple of mustard style sauces we liked all of them, except the one that had American mustard flavor, the spicy hoisin, and the honey barbecue ones were our favorites For side dishes, we had the spicy green beans, sweet potato casserole, Mac & cheese, and jalapeño cheddar grits, which were off the chain amazing The mac & cheese was excellent with a nice dry, mature cheddar finish and the spicy green beans were sweet and spicy hot with an Asian flare while the sweet potato casserole was almost like a dessert, super good My twin sons split the mac & cheese burger, which they devoured, and my daughter had the mac and cheese main dish with chicken on top which she raved about. My wife had a traditional barbecue two meats with two sides and thought it was all great.Total with tip for eight people was $233 which we thought was a very good price considering the food we had

Just walking up to the doors at @TheImproperPig had my mouth salivating. Of course I ordered the BBQ Charcuterie Plate. Here is my 2 cents.The Pulled pork was very tender. Although it was a little bland in taste, the spicy hoisin sauce peeled that baby right out.The Brisket had a sweet brown sugar taste to it. I mixed the pickled red onions with the brisket and the flavor really popped.I didn't really care too much for the House chips. Think of  salt and vinegar chips that have been kettle cooked.OMG the Ribs. Great smokey flavor from the moment my teeth hit the ribs. I wish they were thicker but the Ribs were the best thing on the plate.The Sausage was banging also. There was a spicy after kick, which I loved. I also like the fact that the casing was crispy.The Hush puppies were crunchy on the outside, and soft on the  inside. I enjoyed the sweet butter drizzled on top.#TheImproperPig is definitely one of Charlotte's top Barbecue restaurants. I'll definitely return. #Gratuityadded

Great food, portions & service!Range of delicious sauces to lather on your pork or beef.

This was the first time eating here with my husband. We walked in and were sat at a table that had not been wiped down from the previous customers. It was clearly dirty. We were given menus and when our server came to take our drink orders, we asked that the table be wiped down. We had to ask again for it to be wiped down about 15 minutes later when our drinks arrived. So we were not impressed with service at all.The side dishes all sounded delicious so I went with the platter of sides that came with 2 hush puppies and pickled onion. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with house made salt and vinegar chips.Our favorites were definitely the pork, the chips , hush puppies and green beans. 5 stars for all of those!I think the black eyed peas were good but they are a cold salad and it made me realize that I prefer my BEP warm. The Mac and cheese was ok and the Asian slaw was disappointing in its lack of flavor from the dressing. The sides were all extremely fresh and everything was made with high quality ingredients. They did NOT cheap out on the sides and I love them for this. I'm a big veggie girl and appreciate that there were many healthy options and that they had vegetarian and vegan options. There is really something here for everyone. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We had pork rolls - YUMSt. Louis ribs - I know this style is no sauce but no flavor dry AF and so small.
