The Hibachi Pit

This review is for takeout only. I ordered online and picked up my food about 30-40 min later at the pickup counter towards the back. The process was super simple. I should have looked in my bag before I left because they gave me 4 yum yum sauces instead of the 2 mustard sauces I selected. Don't get me wrong the yum yum sauces is ok but I like to switch up the flavors when I dip my meats and veggies. Plus I love mustard sauces and so I was disappointed.I ordered the three headed dragon with 1/2 fried rice and 1/2 noodles. The fried rice was on point but the noodles were lacking. Flavor wise it was decent but they were plain. I ended up adding soy sauce to it. They could have jazzed it up a bit with some green onions or something. The filet mignon was not bad but wasn't medium well like I had selected. The shrimp was perfect and served with the tail on. The chicken is a cut of chicken breast and cubed. They both were good. Idk how I ended up selecting no mushrooms bc I love mushrooms so I'll have to make sure I get those next time. For my veggie I did broccoli which pairs great with the ginger sauce. Overall this place is good. I'd order takeout again but will check my bag before leaving next time. They had limited seating and do not cook the food in front of you but tons of parking.

Waited nearly on hour (although that was peak dinner time on a Sat night). Hostess seemed new and didn't really know how to handle the crowd.Service was pretty slow and they serve food with plastic cutlery. Kinda hard cutting steak (that was too large to eat in one bite) with a plastic knife. My steak was also overcooked. They suggest medium but it came out med well. Suggest cooking one temp lower than you usually eat it. Shrimp was much better and the best thing on the plate.Food was OK taste wise... about usual Fast Japaenese taste but it was SEVERELY overpriced! $20+ per plate plus drink and tip. Should be half that or maybe $12 per plate for mediocre Japanese food. Portion size was great but again overpriced.

This is my second time eating from The Hibachi Pit. The food is always flavorful and hot. The service is good. The young lady, Cassidy, that took my order was very nice and helpful with a few things I asked about. The restaurant is always clean. This is a good place for families. I saw several with small children who were all enjoying themselves. I will continue to go here when I want Hibachi because I have not been disappointed.

Hibachi pit is so underrated, honestly I've never gotten anything from there that wasn't very good and packed with flavor. This time I tried the wings and as per usual they were amazing. I also really appreciate the different entrees that available from seafood to chicken and beef. Please give them a try.

Ordered takeout from here. Large shrimp, great chicken and really tasty. Will definitely order again. Thank you Smoke Pit for another great restaurant!

I had been wanting to try the Hibachi Pit since it opened a year ago. My husband and I decided to check it out for a casual date night last Saturday night. We arrived around 5:30 and it was already starting to become packed with diners. Our server was fantastic and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Since the portions are huge, we decided to share the chicken and shrimp combo with half rice and half noodles. We chose yum yum sauce and mustard sauce, but they were out of mustard sauce. I tried the teriyaki instead and it was good, but also very salty. Overall, I thought the meal was just ok. Nothing I feel the need to run back to anytime soon.

If you love Smoke pit make sure to give Hibachi pit a try. They are serving large portions and the dishes are delicious. I love how the have a kids/senior meal and they are even a good size. They also make sure you have a good amount of sauce for your dish. Plus all of the sauces were flavorful except the mustard sauce. It wasn't our favorite. I've ordered the chicken and shrimp and a chicken and steak combo. Both times I got the yum yum sauce and the sweet and spicy sauce. I've tried the ginger sauce but prefer the first two. The chicken and shrimp were cooked well but I loved how tender the steak was. I will definitely order only steak the next time. The Crab Rangoon were highly recommended and they didn't disappoint. Service was amazing and efficient. We need more Hibachi Pits. I already have plans to go back in the next month and keep recommending them to friends to try. Nice and big restaurant. They had a long wait on a Friday night but I like that they call you when the table is ready so you can wait in your car. Service was great! Our server was very friendly and helpful. The menu is pretty big and they had lots of combinations. I went with the hibachi chicken and got half fried rice and half noodles and sweet carrots as my side. The sauces come on the side, which is nice but I do prefer the taste of the chicken when it's actually cooked in the teriyaki sauce. The chicken was good, not very flavorful. All of the flavor was in the sauce. The noodles and fried rice were also a little bland as well as the carrots.

THE BEST HIBACHI Wow, this meal was absolutely to die for. The rice was the best fried rice I've EVER had and I've been thinking about it since. The hibachi steak comes with a garlic butter (right?) you can build your own and they also have so many options to choose from. The apps and everything we ordered was delicious and 5 stars. I wish I lived closer but now I have to stop in anytime im in concord for sure.

Probably the worst hibachi that me and my wife ever tried. No flavor, nothing like you would typically expect from Japanese style food. Sadly, extremely over hyped in our area. Best Japanese for the price, just go down the street to Hokkaido.
