The Giddy Goat Coffee Roasters

Five stars for two pleasant hours on a Thursday morning with my laptop getting some work done out of the house and experiencing a little change of scenery. It was awesome that not only did The Giddy Goat have a cortado on the menu, they actually knew what it was. My cortado was excellent - 2 ounces of espresso and two ounces of steamed (not foamed) milk served in a short glass.They have a dedicated parking space (nice to find in Plaza Midwood) and I was able to find a comfortable table next to a power outlet. Wifi worked well.This was a fabulous spot for morning coffee and some out-of-office working.[Review 2540 of 2024 - 3992 in North Carolina - 23551 overall]

Tried The Giddy Goat this morning and this coffee shop is pretty good. The service is excellent- both friendly and efficient and the orders are filled quickly.I order the Giddy Goat burrito, the buttery croissant, cinnamon bread and a warmed blueberry muffin. I also ordered iced coffee and iced latte with lavender. EVERYTHING was amazing.The ambiance is cool, but be aware that it's a small shop and has limited parking.

What a cute coffee shop.. Parking can be a nightmare as the parking lot is super tiny, and they seem to get a lot of traffic. I came on at Saturday morning around 9:30 am. I walked in and the line was not that bad, and moved fairly quickly. However, when I turned around it got really long very quickly! Happy I got there at a good time. The space is tight on the main level, but they do have outdoor seating and an upper level, so plenty of space overall. I ordered the gingerbread latte, and two empanadas (one spinach and cheese, the other chicken) I really enjoyed the spinach and cheese pastry but not so much the chicken one. I also wanted to try the pistachio crossaint and asked the cashier if they had any more, to which she replied if they did they would bring them down. So, I got the hazelnut one instead. After, I paid for my items they brought the pistachio croissants down..... By this time the line was entirely too long for me to go back and try to order what I really wanted.. She should have asked someone how long of a wait it would of been for more, so I could have just paid for it and waited. I was a bit disappointed, as this was one of the items I really wanted to try. The gingerbread latte was so good. My favorite item so far. When I come back, I'll try to come earlier to beat the crowd and hopefully I'll be able to try the pistachio crossaint!

Decided to try the Giddy Goat for breakfast while in Charlotte. Large selection of hot and cold drinks and delicious empanadas, quiche, and other pastries. Facility was small and crowded but food and drinks were prepared quickly and we were done quickly. Definitely returning soon.

Giddy Goat is one of the best coffee spots in the city. Their black coffee is delicious on its own, but you can't miss out on their specialty drinks and flavors. Their breakfast burrito is full of flavor (and huge!), but when I visit, I need to order empanadas. They are to die for.There's a good bit of seating downstairs and upstairs, but it does get crowded. It's a clean, cozy, classic coffee shop atmosphere.

Giddy Goat is just unmatched in terms of coffee spots around CLT. Their empanadas are so flavorful and the perfect morning bite- especially if you're on the go. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and doesn't have that cold sleek feeling you'll find in so many shops. It feels inviting and makes you want to spend time out on their patio out front. They host a run club, yoga, and dancing which really brings an added element of community. Their coffee is so fresh, with having the roasting machines right in the front of the shop. We buy their espresso beans for our machine at home and it's always so smooth and delicious. It can get crowded around 10am on weekends but still a ton of seating and the line isn't too long. Definitely worth the wait. This is always my go-to recommendation place when people are looking for coffee spots!

Really great coffee shop in Plaza Midwood. They have so much seating and two floors which was great for a busy Saturday morning. The line was long but it went by fast. Service was great as well!I ordered some empanadas to share. They were all very good. I had the chicken, Patagonia, and breakfast empanadas. My favorite was the breakfast one. They ere all very flavorful and the crust was nice and flaky. I also tried the rounded chocolate croissant. It was really good and filled with cream! My coffee was an iced caramel latte. It was good but the coffee didn't have a very strong flavor.

In short, here's how the Sunday visit went: -Little to no parking; Had to park in Harris Teeter parking lot even though there are multiple signs that say "No restaurant parking, towing enforced." (Be careful)-Very busy and the line was about to start forming out the door. (Not sure if it's always like this or just increased foot traffic due to the holiday weekend). Line did move at an ok speed. I waited about 10 minutes before ordering my food.-Ambience is cool. Due to all the people, this is a good coffee shop to chat or get a quick bite to eat, maybe not study or focus in depth.-Ordered a dirty vanilla chai plus breakfast empanada. It tasted like espresso and milk only. I added chai concentrate to the drink when I got home and it was still bland. I didn't finish the drink. Breakfast empanada gave me more of a breakfast puff pastry than an empanada, but It was tasty and I like the sauce. I would order the empanadas in multiples because my friend had the Patagonia empanada with chimichurri sauce and enjoyed it as well. -There's a nice variety of pastries and drinks to choose from. It's also cool that they offer tango classes on ThursdaysCool place overall, but the competition is stiff as there are plenty of coffee shops in the area that may be a little more memorable.

When I come to Charlotte, I always try to go to the giddy goat. My last experience wasn't very good. they opened the overhead doors at 7 AM when it was only 40 something degrees and employee proceeded to ground coffee with what sounded like a high powered vacuum too loud to sit inside and too cold.
