A Treasure disguised as a "Hole in the Wall"Friendly, diverse crowd. My 1st Karoke experience, but not my last! I'm Definately a Listener, not a singer, & was pleasantly surprised at the quality of some of the Vocalist. In addition to the talented vocalist there were enthusiastic singers, dancing, an accommodating DJ, friendly staff, a pole, (only men used!) and abundance of laughter and smiles. The Fat Parrot is much larger & nicer than it appears on the outside. Video games, DJ booth, small dancing area, pool tables, and a nice outdoor area with a Fire pit. Security was unobtrusive but on point. I only heard one argument, (between a couple). The male was quickly, yet tactfully, escorted out. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but do plan to have the wings on my next visit. They smelled great, & I saw several people stop by for To Go orders. Rare for "Bar Food"Don't let the outside fool you. I'm not usually "A bar person" but, The Fat Parrot may change my ways. Parking can be a problem. Back into your spot for easy exit when the lot gets crowded.

Love this lil local bar to play a game of pool and get a reasonable priced drink!!!!Not to mention they olemon pepper baked wings are pretty dang good!!!!

Loved everything about it. The music, the drinks, the food, the people. Everyone was very friendly! They played everything from metal to rap. The food was pretty good typical bar food. We tried the wings- lemon pepper and barbalo, and the meat lovers pizza. Pretty good especially for the price. The drink specials were awesome! Margaritas $3, Jell-O shots $1. I hadn't had Jell-O shots in so long! They were so good!! And NO headache after! Definitely will be back. The bartender was on point! She was working solo and was very attentive to everyone! And was very pleasant! That's a plus. I read about the karaoke on Fridays. Can't wait to come back for that. It's definitely worth the drive.

Me and my wife went there for the first time and we loved it the people are nice and the bartender is nice we recommend people to go there

Yes, you've seen this place driving on Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd,...on Friday, the cars are parked two deep in front of the gravel parking lot. If your're not a member...don't even think about it...you gotta have a card.I was a card carrying member back in the day when it was just 'The Fat Parrot', not that's it's really changed that much.If you really want to know what it's like...buy a membership...or go as a guest.They have live music on Saturday.

Good local dive bar. Don't be afraid of the outside of the building. The people are friendly and welcoming, the beer is ice cold. They have corn-hole, horse shoes, pool tables and a fire pit out back. The large covered patio is good for the smokers. It has karaoke on Friday nights and it is usually packed. The crowd is a good mix of young and old.

This place is a great time everytime!! You have your choice from horse shoes, cornhole or darts! Not to mention the ice cold beers. No food here but who needs that!

Went on a Friday night and it was dead. Got served drinks fairly quickly but they were weak. They were in the smaller size cups and you still couldn't taste the alcohol. The bartender wasn't friendly at all. I then got charged way more than I spent on my card. Vibes were just weird.

Awesome place! Do not believe the bad reviews, probably coming from someone who was cut off or kicked out. Also... fact check...NOBODY has died at this place as one reviewer stated lol

I just located to this area-The food is VERY limited but very good,The beer is cold! The bartenders are all good too! Good games & jukebox,I gave this low score,(I'm a CMPD undercover) I was picking up a to go order ,from the Red Bowl,and there was a guy there(at the bar) As I was waiting on my order,the man,(I learned his name, Mike) from the bartender,he had had too much to drink,as he used the hallway Wall to steady himself.Our order came before he got back,and when Leaving,I checked my order,and it was perfect!We ate in the car,then dropped my wife & her sister off at Fat Parriott's-at 3:20 PM,I came an picked her up at 6:10 pm.To my shock-The drunk guy (Mike was there,too?He was so drunk,and noisy,slurred speech ect...)My wife did get a to go order of french fries,also very good!And they each liked the people & bartender-and GREAT cock tales.The reason for the low mark,was the drunk guy,he should not have been served there, at all,will let my friends back at (CMPD) know of there inability,to stop a drunk,from to much liquor.Wish they had a bigger menu too,as there name states (bar & grill) no option's for the grill.But other wise,It's a good place to kick back,have a few beers and watch sports on there many tv's.I will go back with my co-workers for a lunch break,and sample what they have.I will leave another review after that.As I have been here only for a short pick up wife and go.
