We actually went a few months ago to the new location in Monroe and i never posted! Same delicious pizza they've always produced just a bigger location where you can sit and enjoy instead of having to take it to go and enjoy elsewhere!

While in town visiting some family, we learned this place had a good reputation for delicious pizza, so we all gave it a shot.In this new location, the business upgraded from a small footprint with limited seating options to a larger space which offered several choices. On entry we were politely greeted by counter staff, though accessing a menu, particularly at your table to peruse was more difficult than it should have been. So a couple of observations: The business offers the true NY Style experience with a counter order and open seating. The pizza was absolutely delicious, but it was definitely Not New York style. The pies are only available in 12" size and are therefore not large foldable slices which is emblematic of NYS pizza. They also lacked blue cheese for dipping... which is particularly common in (upstate) New York. The pizza reminded me more of a coal or wood fired pizza style... but again, it was certainly delicious. It's a great pizza shop, but it's not a New Style, particularly at only 12" diameter pies, so just know that going in.

My wife is amazing at planning things for us. We decided to celebrate her birthday which landed during the work week on the following weekend. She chose to explore the Monroe area of North Carolina. It was my treat to her and she researched, chose the location and booked the hotel. She also researched places to go and great food to eat. She really is amazing. One of the places she picked for us to grab some food was The Exchange Pizza Depot. She knows I love pizza and she loves to treat me as well. She read great reviews and based on the pictures posted on Yelp, she knew the dough, which is her favorite part looked incredibly tasty. The goal was to arrive when they opened on Saturday morning at 11:30am. We got up and ready, grabbed a coffee and did a few things before arriving a bit after they opened. We were able to find street parking easily and headed in. A young man came up from what appears to be the kitchen and/or prep area. We had already looked over the menu and knew what we wanted. All pizzas are 12 inches and priced at $14.99, which we thought was very reasonable. She chose the Roasted Chicken pizza with chunks of chicken, roasted bell pepper, garlic, sliced red onion, and premium shredded mozzarella with a delicious nut free pesto. She also ordered a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. I decided to stay very traditional with Jordan's Jamboree featuring classic pepperoni and sausage with red sauce and premium shredded mozzarella, I ordered mine with extra sauce. The young man was friendly and efficient and told us our order would be ready in about 20 to 25 minutes. We knew from other reviews they do not have a dining area but customers are welcome to take their orders to the Courthouse beer bar next door. We decided to walk around the block and discovered the Courthouse was closed. We continued to the next business on the street which was the Peddlers Paradise Bartique and stepped inside. The bar area was not yet busy (they were prepping for a neighborhood pub crawl which began at 2pm). We asked the young lady working if it was possible to bring our lunch over. She was very friendly and did not hesitate to offer us one of the high top tables. We were grateful since it was already quite hot and humid. This also gave us some time to shop inside Peddlers Paradise. We ended up picking up a few items we couldn't live without. We checked on our order at the 20 minute mark and was told it needed 5 more minutes. We came back a few minutes later and everything was ready and packaged up. They have utensils and packets of both parmesan cheese and red pepper to grab on your way out. We got settled in the Peddlers Paradise and opened up both the pizza boxes and the container with the salad. Everything looked incredible!!!Needless to say we ooh'ed and awwww'ed as we each began eating our lunch. My wife does not eat pizza often and this was just what she was looking for on her special weekend. We highly recommend to others if you are near Monroe!

I have simple tastes when it comes to NY style pizza: sausage, mushrooms, and pepperoni (or some combination of them), decent crust, spicy sauce, and gooey cheese. Being round helps, too.I've ordered here more times than I admit to my nutritionist and each time they deliver. Cool.Credit cards only, parking is on the street, and it's ready in a jiffy. My kinda place.Looking for a reasonably priced pie that's hot and tasty? Has cheese oozing all over my "Give 'em a whirl" meter. Nom nom here.

My daughter and I tried this pizza spot for lunch and were glad we did. The pizzas are all slightly bigger than personal sized pies. Unique flavors, we tried the pickle pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza. Overall both tasted great. Good flavor, decent crust and came out hot and fresh. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Located in downtown Monroe, carry out only, small "cool" spot. Pie was ready when promised and absolutely delicious. Good pizza in Monroe is impossible to find. This is true brick oven with incredibly fresh ingredients. Definitely this is a place to visit if you are looking for great pizza.

Great pizza! No place to sit but there was a cute place around the corner you can take your pizza in or eat outside at a table. Will return.

I have tried the spots in matthews and sun valley and this one did not disappoint either! Pizzas are excellent whether traditional or gluten free. They do such a great job and the different combinations are crave worthy!! The Buffalo chicken and Mushroom Truffle are my two favorites with pepperoni coming in 3rd! But honestly any of their pizzas are a must try. So glad to have them in Monroe now, and they even make it easy to order from a local brewery by providing paper plates and napkins. My only recommendation/request would be that since they do all takeout and to local patrons, maybe they could have a text system when pizza is ready?

Our new favorite pizza joint!Would truly like to see them flourish. It's counter service only, so no tables, no slices...but you'll be treated to top quality ingredients and a chewy, tasty crust. Open 7 days a week and you'll be able to tell it's a pizza-passion-labor-of-love operation from your first bite. Excellent cheese used on their pies, not the gummy commercial crap that you've had from the soulless corporate pizza factories. Treat yourself to Jordan's Jamboree with a little extra red sauce, cooked well done!Salads are solid as well. No cash accepted. Worth the drive.

The place looks really nice, but when I looked a little deeper, I saw flies all over the uncovered dough. Uncovered sauces. I'm not sure why the person prepping the pizza had on a hat because, her hair was very long and hanging out of the hat in front of her face, and hanging over all the toppings. I understand that it's mid October and there are a lot of flies but, that is why you keep food covered, and in the fridge when possible. I'm not sure I'll be back. All that being said, the pizza was good.
