The place was pretty cool and the service was great. We ordered the spoon bread, (delicious) chicken sandwich, (husband loved it, I thought it was okay), and the bbq pork burnt ends (they were okay, wouldn't order again. Hard to chew and weren't hot, seemed like they'd been sitting a while or something).Overall it was a good experience. I'd go again.

We had a nice experience at The Eagle in Charlotte. The atmosphere was just okay, but what really stood out was the friendly and attentive service--our server was great, and everything arrived incredibly fast.We started with the spicy chicken dip and chips, which had great flavor but was a little too spicy for my taste. The hush puppies were a solid appetizer as well. For my entrée, I had the quarter white meat chicken, which was decent but nothing extraordinary. However, the sweet potato crock was hands-down the highlight of my meal--absolutely delicious! My only real complaint was the music. While I don't mind rock music, it was overly loud, making it hard to enjoy conversation. If they toned it down a bit, the dining experience would be much more enjoyable.Overall, great service and solid food with a couple of standout dishes. I'd definitely return--hopefully to a slightly quieter playlist!

This was my first time taking my son to visit The Eagle Food & Beer Hall in Charlotte, NC.**Parking:**The parking is located at the back of the establishment. We went in the evening when most of the stores that share the lot were closed, so there was plenty of parking available.**Inside:**If you enter through the back, you and your guest will need to walk through the restaurant to the front for the hostess. The hostess last Saturday was really friendly, making for a great introduction to the restaurant. The staff was excellent at refilling our drinks and explaining the menu to us. Keep in mind that everything is served separately and meant to be shared. The restaurant is large, so the noise level was balanced. However, I can imagine it getting loud. One downside is that if you are seated around the bar area, you cannot see the TV unless you are 5'2" or shorter, which detracts from the experience. This was not well thought out when the area was designed. The food was hot when served. The spoonbread was the highlight of the meal--I could eat it by itself, it was so good. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and I will definitely return on a future visit.

I sometimes come to Charlotte to meet with my clients and found the Eagle last spring. The food is very good. -Fried chicken. What they are known for. Really good.-Spoon bread. Amazing. I got an extra order to bring back home to Los Angeles for my kids. -Burnt ends- very good.-Shrimp and grits- very good.-collared greens- very good. One area they could work on is table service. Our table was a booth behind the bar where we were told the bartender would be our server- except the bar tender seemed busy and didnt stop by often. Maybe they had a server out sick that night?

The Eagle Charlotte is an amazing spot for casual dining with a great ambiance. I frequently stop by to enjoy their salads and drinks, and I'm never disappointed. The hush puppies and fried chicken salad are absolute must-tries! I hosted a party here with friends about three months ago, and it was a huge success. Everyone found something they loved, and the staff made sure our experience was smooth and enjoyable. The location is relatively close to Uptown Charlotte, which is convenient, though parking can be a bit tricky at times. But if you plan accordingly, it's totally manageable. I highly recommend The Eagle for anyone looking for a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with fantastic food and drinks!

I have been to The Eagle multiple times. This time I was there as part of a party of 14 people for my best friend's birthday. We all came in prepared to order whatever we wanted when someone mentioned the Family Style option where it's $24/person and you get fried chicken and multiple sides served shareable/family style. We all decided that the food sounded good and like an easy painless option, and boy was that the truth! Every dish was so good - I may miss something but we had at minimum fried chicken served with a hot honey (amazing!), Mac and cheese, hush puppies, collards, kale salad, corn bread and buffalo chicken dip. All of our drinks were great too, and service was on point, especially for a large party. Can't wait to go back for this type of meal again!

Fried chicken with hot honey sauce, collard greens with ham hocks, sweet potato casserole and a drinky drink to wash it all down.I have always loved their chicken. Marinated to perfection. Even the breast is as moist as the leg, and coated in a hot honey sauce (optional).....omg. Heavy on the vinegar and onions but it all balances out. Some of the best greens in Charlotte. The sweet potato casserole was okay. It seemed like it was missing a touch of something. The blackberry lemonade was a thirst quencher on a hot day.#GratuityAdded #cltdates #charlottelifestyle #brinedchicken #TheEagleClt #friedchickenday #foodstagram #instafood #southerneats #foodtraveller #drankas #foodtour #drinkydrink #Denzel #foodies #travelfood #LoSo # charlottesgotalot #foodlovers #OfflineCLT #parisolympics #travelblogger #cltBloggers #OfflineCharlotte #foodtrip #lovefood #clttravels #SouthendClt #foodiesofclt#eatdrinkclt

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet. The Eagle is a staple in my household. Craving good southern food? The Eagle. Hankering for fried chicken? The Eagle delivers.I've tried a variety of dishes from their menu and have always enjoyed them. There's not much to dislike here. Expect flavorful dishes at reasonable prices. Our go-to order is usually the chicken, paired with an assortment of sides. Recently, I tried their mashed potatoes, and they instantly became my favorite side dish.Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.
