Delicious food, friendly service and a nifty little strip mall restaurant.A small place, with limited seating but neat and clean.

The ambiance is a bbq joint straight out of a movie. They opened the door early for an employee. The door remained open even though they weren't so ppl started filing in including us.Ordered the 1/4 dark meat smoked chicken with the white slaw and fries. Loved the ranch dressing! The white slaw was a little too sweet for me. The fries seem to be from a bag so it's all about the ranch. The smoked chicken was smoked chicken. Solid offering.

We were visiting Rock Hill and decided to try this place as it is rated high on Yelp. The wait staff were super friendly and helpful with ordering. My husband ordered the grilled pork belly app. It was good. I got the pulled pork sandwich with black eyed & collards as a side. The pork didn't have much flavor but the bourbon bbq sauce was good on it. The black eyed peas & collards were really good! Not bad but I've had better.

This is our second time visiting. We stopped on our way back home to Ohio. I must say we'd give The Dixie Pig a 5 star rating all day long. The bbq is amazing no matter what you choose and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Nothing fancy but you can't beat it!

Honestly, the only parts of this meal that wasn't outstanding were the hush puppies. Everything else I ate -- the smoked bratwurst, the mustard-based gold sauce, the flavorful hash, and the mixture of black-eyed peas and collard greens -- was stellar. That hash in particular was delicious. The Dixie Pig is certainly not a large establishment, and it might be easy to miss without a little GPS guidance. The primary dining area holds little more than a few bar stools, a pair of high-top tables, and about four four-seater tables. There's also a secondary dining area that's much larger, connected to the main establishment by a door near the bar counter. The staff here is down to earth, welcoming, and on top of their game. What was wrong with the hush puppies? They were certainly edible, but unlike everything else on the plate they were decidedly plain and flavorless. A little chopped jalapeno, a bit of sugar, or damn near anything else could liven them up. And that's seriously the only complaint I have. 4.5 stars, though I'd like to come back and try a few other dishes to see if everything else measures up.

Drive by a lot, but never stopped until a friend invited me to have lunch with him here. Small, not crowded, clean, good rest room and a very nice menu.Had a smoked Cajun shrimp appetizer ($7.50). Very tasty and good remoulade. I think it was 6 nice sized shrimp.I love BBQ beef brisket, but they only offer it after 5pm. Will go back for that.Ordered the pulled pork BBQ ($13.50). Could have also had this in sandwich form. Came with two sides. My choice Black Eyed Peas & Collards and potato salad. Did not like their potato salad, so exchanged it for white slaw that was great. The peas and collards were excellent and the first time I have had both served together. Love them separately and definitely loved their combo together.Five BBQ sauces which you can try: House BBQ a sweet and spicy vinegar based sauce (NC), Dixie Gold a tangy mustard and peppercorn sauce (SC), Memphis Magic sweet & smokey tomato base sauce, Bourbon BBQ sweet & tangy tomato based sauce and Alabama White Buttermilk and Vinegar Sauce created for chicken (but good on BBQ, also).Their BBQ pulled pork was just that. It was just the meat, lacking a smoked flavor or any other flavor. Very neutral. It was plain, not vinegar-ed.I was disappointed and the pork BBQ might be why it was not crowded at all at prime time lunch time and I saw only one or two take-out orders. Unusual for a BBQ place to have seats available, but lacking a lot of take-away orders.If you are a beginner to southern BBQ, come here to try those sauces and sides. The sauces make up for the plain pulled pork.

Stopped by this place for a casual dinner one day while in the area. It is an unassuming food establishment but has a pretty unique menu, and I love those kinds of places! They also had so many fun sauces to try. I got the Paulie, and it definitely hit the spot. Hubby got the chopped brisket, I think. We had a good time.

All the reviews that raved about how good this place was, they were right on the spot. It's not much to look at from the outside, but all the magic happens on the inside. Main dishes, sides, desserts are undefeated. Services, fast and friendly. They make you feel like you are one of the regulars. I'm sure during regular lunch or dinner hours parking can be a little tough, but it is well worth the wait.

This is the place to get earth shattering amazing BBQ. I got the pulled pork BBQ sandwich with the house sauce and red slaw. The pork was perfectly crispy in all the right places and had that satisfying crunch with every bit!!! The staff was amazing, extremely amazing with their hospitality and very friendly. This is the best hole in the wall BBQ juint!

Just what we were hoping for. Service was amazing, the ladies really took great care of you. Sweet tea never got below half full. The smoked onion dip was the favorite. Pork belly was amazing. We got the smoked shrimp plate, the shrimp or a little cold but other than that, all the food was amazing. We got two desserts to go , peanut butter and banana bread pudding. Can't wait to try them.
