I've never had such a hard time getting a reservation in Charlotte as I did getting this! And for good reason - the Crunkleton is a classic spot for great food and they're especially known for their cocktails (whiskey fans check it out) located in one of my favorite Charlotte neighborhoods Elizabeth, the surrounding area has a ton of charm and is close to the city's center. While many live further south of Charlotte uptown, with Truist bank moving their headquarters to Charlotte, I can only see the city continuing to attract young people and growing the uptown scene. The Crunkleton reminds me of one of my favorite southern restaurants Church and Union which growing up my family and I would frequent the Charleston location. We started with the pesto burrata flatbread pizza that came with a sweet balsamic glaze which reminded me of Tomasso's balsamic vinaigrette that my family famously stocks up on every time we're in Kiawah. My fav items were the chicken piccata and the waygu burger although the Mac n cheese side def deserves a shoutout. We got the pecan pie for dessert - with toasted pecans and creamy caramel ice cream to top - overall one of my fav places in Charlotte that I feel accurately blends the city's southern feel of whiskey! - chicken piccata with sun-dried tomato and asparagus- waygu burger- pesto burrata flatbread- Mac n cheese- Caesar salad with burrata - dusty cactus cocktail- catch of the day - seabass

This is the my fourth and last time I will ever visit this establishment. I was less than satisfied in my meal and drinks. I order a Wagui burger medium and it was well done almost 40 dollars for a burger that wasn't even prepared properly. I ordered an order an old fashioned that was watered down to say the least. The final straw for the evening after spending over 500 dollars on dinning to be hit with a 30 dollar parking ticket, for the lot they recommended I park at and then to be told they don't validate parking. I won't be back the price and quality of the food isn't worth it.

I only stopped in to grab wings and have a drink while I wait. I ended up with tiny, meatless bones. So unlike their usual size. Flavor on dry rub was still on point, but the sauced wings were just that, a pile of sauce. I am very particular on size when I'm entertaining. That goes for fish, wings, scallops and shrimp, so I expect the same when being served. They come in a serving of 8 wings. I got half n' half. I did not come to eat 8. Normally I would have 2 and give my guy the other 6, but I could have easily finished this entire order if my stomach had not turned in disappointment. I guess popularity has gotten to their head, so quality and care are no longer a concern. Makes me recall when my son's high school football team was on a winning streak, the got so cocky that they slacked on their game and ended up losing to the team the school had historically beaten over a few decades. Never feel like you've made it and your work is done. Always strive for perfection. As for service: I sat at the bar and really do apologize to my server. I ordered a double Tito's, with a splash of cranberry and lime over two ice cubes. I took full accountability when admitted I forgot how big their are and asked you to remove one of them. But to show complete disdain and toss it with attitude was totally unnecessary. I did not say your Kahunas were too small, I said the ice cubes were too big!Charlotte's culinary competition has gotten thick and that cute lil' new spot just across the way on 7th St (also named with a "C") is kicking butt. So watch out now!

This was one of our favorite spots when we came into town to watch the Saints! MAKE A RESERVATION ahead of time or you will miss out. The Pecan pie was literally to die for and I hate to say my favorite thing even though everything was so good!

Very unique cocktail selection and great service. Their gin fizz was a little heavy on the lemon and the gin egg white drink is a unique concoction, fun to try but very mild on flavor. Overall a fun spot!

This was an awesome chicken sandwich. Possibly the best breakfast chicken sandwich I've had. Service is great and servers give you great recommendations because the menu is so good. Must go to brunch spot with good ambiance in Charlotte. I still need to make my way through the bar menu as well!

Believe the hype, everything here was DELICIOUS. I came here for a friends birthday dinner and really enjoyed my experience. I started off with cocktails and ordered something not on the menu - I just told the waitress what I wanted. The bartended executed on my wishes and it was tasty. My friend had the "estilo viejo" which is essentially a Tequila Old Fashioned. This cocktail was a one way ticket to "getting crunk" - sip slowly lol. I had the Chilean sea bass entree and loved it. My only issue was not having MORE! The fish was tender and flavorful. One thing to note - it's accompanied by mainly some veggies and legumes. If you want carbs or something a little heavier, I'd recommend adding a side of fries or any of the yummy sides. The burgers here are magical. Holy wow - the burgers. They have add-ons and customizations so you can get it exactly as you want. They're served on a warm glistening brioche bun, 10/10. Cannot go wrong. My friend had the chicken sandwich and also loved her entree. I don't always have dessert but I'm so happy I ordered dessert while here. We had the brownie with ice cream on top and caramel - EUPHORIC. It's actually the best brownie I've had in a really long time. This restaurant is super cute for a date, girls night, a special occasion or really any other outing. The menu has a lot of really well done classic items. My service was a little slow on a busy night but the food was so good, it didn't even matter. I will absolutely return here again.

They should rename themselves The CrunkleYUM because everything we got here was so so delicious. This place is a drinker's paradise, and even if you're not doing alcohol, the N/A cocktails are expertly prepared with high quality ingredients and N/A spirits, so it's truly as close to the real thing as you can get! I absolutely loved my "Painlesskiller," and we kept the tropical vibes going with the "N/A Agave Tiki Tai."Vibes are high inside, with a huge back bar boasting some bottles from as far back as prohibition! It's fun to see the bartenders work their magic and climb the ladder to reach different bottles. On another side of the space is the open kitchen, with an open flame that they use to cook and which gives the restaurant a slightly smoky, warm feeling.Service was helpful and attentive. For our meals, I got the mussels, which appears under the Shareables section but is actually a great portion of mussels along with hunks of charred bread. The tomato-based broth is o-m-g delish with lots of crumbly, savory chorizo. Hubs got the hangar steak with fries, which was prepared so well. I loved the fresh chimichurri on top of the steak, along with sesame seeds for a unique flavor and texture. And the aioli for the fries is absolutely the best call. For dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed the warm pecan pie with salted caramel ice cream. The pie itself was composed of crushed nuts, which made it easier to break up with a spoon, and there were whole candied pecans around the plate. The salted caramel ice cream was the perfect accompaniment, giving the dish a warm, comforting quality.Loved gettin' CRUNK at The Crunkleton. I will absolutely be back!

Loved the holiday decor. Just enough without being over the top. Drinks and food were delicious per usual. We did the 1/2 off Tomahawk Tuesday which if you haven't taken advantage of this you need to. I will say I thought it was bigger last time we had it but it still was enough for 5 people plus the sides and apps. Service was a little slow and didn't receive a drink we asked for but wasn't charged for it either. Slightly off night but still a favorite place to dine!

The Crunkelton is a must try.Food: We started with the seared scallops as a starter. They were perfectly prepared. Nice crispy sear on each side yet perfectly tender and flavorful. For dinner, I had the Chilean Sea Bass, Edamame Succotash, Romesco, Citrus Beurre Blanc. Thus was the best Chilean sea bass dish I've ever had. What stood out was the seasoning of the fish specifically. Some Chikean sea bass dishes I've had in the past used the accompimaent as the flavor profile. This dish focused on the savory flavor of the fish with the succotash as a complimentary flavor. 5 out of 5 for sure. For dessert, I had the Pecan pie. It's literally the best I've ever had. Again, it was a perfect balance of flavor. Not too sweet with a sweet and salty profile. Save room. It's a must try.Drinks: They have a great selection of spirits. I am a Vourbon drinker. I tried the Jefferson Twin oak Single Barrel and the Elijah Craig batch C923. If you want a selection of antique bourbons, this is the spot. What a great selection. If you are in the Charlotte area make this a destination spot for dinner.
