We go here routinely...don't ever love the service but the comedians we've chosen were great. Today, I recommended the place to a friend. A veteran. Who apparently got flipped off repeatedly by the comedian. You're free to have your politics and spew your garbage, but to show such utter disrespect is unforgivable. Disgusting.

I always have a great time when I go to Comedy Zone shows across the country. I love comedy!!! I lucked out that Tony Rock was in town at the Comedy Zone in Greenville, SC. I had to see the last night. The show was 20 on a scale to 10!! One the BEST SHOWS I'VE SEEN LIVE!! I will definitely see him again somewhere this year. If he is ever in your town do not miss out! The seating is spaced out like a lot of comedy places, so you didn't feel crammed up against complete strangers. Every seat in the house was a great seat to see the stage. The service was quick and the servers were always on point to make sure you enjoyed the show. The bathroom were clean and easily accessible. But I was surprised to see that there was only one urinal and one stall in the mens restroom. There was a line for the women's bathroom. While in line they complained that only one toilet was working the restroom.

Tommy Davidson was okay not really too funny but all the crowd was fantastic. The opening act Brandon was great. The place was loud and very upbeat. The food is really not good at all. We come to this location a lot and enjoy the acts but this one was slow and flat.

The Comedy Zone - Greenville (CZG) needs to re-evaluate the information it relays to its customers and better vet the comics they invite to perform. After doing some research on things to do in the Greenville-Spartanburg area, my husband and I purchased tickets ($17/person) for the 9:30PM Saturday show with headliner, Jordan Rock. On the CZG website, it stated that doors open one hour before the show. So, my husband and I parked in a garage near the venue and arrived at CZG at 8:32 on a cold, windy, rainy night. I must've called the CZG business phone about 10 times while I was standing in line in the rain to inquire about the door open time, but no one answered. But the doors didn't open until around 9:10, which meant at least to me that the show wasn't truly a 9:30 show since they'd have to seat the nearly 100 people in line. And even then, people who were standing in line were skipped by about 8 parties who were received in the connecting bar. This is HORRIBLE customer service and left a horrible first impression for my first visit to the club because I could've stood in the connecting bar instead of in the rain if I would have known. Also, a piece of information that wasn't advertised on their site is that there is a $5 drink/food minimum person, even though the cheapest thing on the menu is $8, so it's really an $8 drink/food minimum - which isn't bad, but still would have been nice to know upfront. I ordered the wings ($8) and they tasted old. Now for the comedy, as an avid comedy club enthusiast and New Yorker by way of DC and LA, I can honestly say that the headliner, Jordan Rock, who also happens to be Chris Rock's lesser-known little brother, had immense difficulty connecting with the crowd. A lot of his jokes were couched in things that the audience was extremely uncomfortable discussing, like porn. While some of the jokes he was telling would pop in LA or NYC, they didn't work in Greenville with blue collar, working class, church-going, family folks. He may have done better if he was more familiar with the type of people in the audience and what they might perceive as humorous. It even got so awkward toward the end of Jordan's set that he said, "I hope all of you crash when you're driving home in the rain," "screw you guys, I'm rich! Enjoy your two drink minimum," "you guys don't deserve a closing joke," and even heckled people who were so offended that they ended up leaving DURING his set. He even stated that he performed four shows and that we were second out of the bunch. If we came in at second, I wouldn't want to be a fly on the fourth audience wall.I have NEVER in my entire life been involved in something so awkward. And I'll most likely never return to CZG to guard against being involved in something like that ever again. It would be in the best interest of CZG to better vet their performers to ensure that the comedian can connect with the audience and as a result, hopefully, not perform to a dead crowd. One thing I noticed about Jordan though was that when he was heckled by some folks in the audience, it kinda threw him off his game. And honestly, CZG is the first comedy club I've ever been to that allows heckling and maybe they should consider prohibiting it like the Improv Hollywood and Laugh Factory to ensure the comedian doesn't turn against the entire audience because of a few bad apples. The only reason I'm giving the CZG any stars is because the first comedian, Dylan (I cant remember his last name), was HILARIOUS and in my opinion should have been the headliner. He made jokes and did schticks that the crowd could relate to. All in all, after moving back to SC from LA, I was excited to see what the comedy club scene had to offer and CZG completely let me down. I wouldn't recommend CZG until it made some SERIOUS changes.

Currently here now. Apparently this place has some kind of 5$ minimum bullshit policy where they force you to buy something. We said we're good and the waitress proceeds to bring us two unwanted waters that we have to pay 6$ for. I didn't pay for my ticket to be charged again by some shit 'company policy' just because I'm here in the building. Have no intentions of ever coming back here after this show.

Went there for a show tonight. My husband got patted down by the female security person at the front door. It was odd, she seemed to have a chip on her shoulder, but we went along with it and smiled. During the 3rd act, an older couple was sitting in front row and the lady was cracking up. The comedian asked her what she was laughing about and she said his cuffed pants. He asked her a variety of questions while making jokes. She answered, laughed, then the he went on with his act. It was funny and not a big deal. Later, when he was almost done the female security person came over to the older lady and said you need to leave. The lady said why and the security guard grabbed her and started ROUGHLY dragging her out. The husband stepped in and said stop grabbing her and then he tried to get security lady off his wife. A fight ensued. THIS WAS UNREAL. They need to fire that security lady who clearly has serious issues. The couple really didn't do anything wrong. The lady just answered the comedians questions. I will NEVER go back to that place. You do not treat customers like that. This was an older couple and they got treated like criminals! I cannot believe the manager of this place allowed that!Warning...if you go don't respond to the comedian if asked questions! You will be violently removed!

This is a very nice comedy club. It has a cool little bar downstairs to relax at before the show and all the food and drinks were good at the downstairs bar as well as inside the comedy club. The service is very friendly as well. The stage is big and the seats offer you great unobstructed views of the stage. The only thing I would change if I owned it is I would let the fans pick where they want to sit. They don't seat on a first come first serve basis and they don't seat by letting you pick your table on an interactive seat map when you buy your tickets online or in person. Your only 2 choices are VIP or just a regular ticket. No matter what you choose, you don't find out where you're sitting until you enter. Fans should get to choose where they sit instead of the venue picking for you because every fan has their own personal opinion of what seats are the best and why they feel they are the best so the fans should get to choose, not the venue. This is the only thing about this comedy club that I didn't care for. I'd love to see it done my way because I think it's a more modern and logical way to do it. I loved everything about this place besides that and I'd definitely return and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Establishment is not Law Enforcement friendly in the least bit. The front staff is very nice, but management on the other hand is not.

I've frequently attended Comedy Zone in the last year with no issues until Feb 24, 2024. I always purchase VIP tickets so I can sit in the front but this night I was seated way in the back and had to share another couple's table that I didn't know. Needless to say, they were unhappy with this arrangement as was I. We were told that this was VIP repeatedly by the manager and also that it was a sold out show (Bruce Bruce) . Was also told it was on a First Come/First Serve basis but if that's true then why bother to sell VIP tickets?? This is the first time I've been told that and I've been there to see Don DC Curry and Arnaz J.....no problems with VIP seating. If this is a new rule, it needs to be on the website so we can time it accordingly but it shouldn't be a timeframe on VIP. We weren't late.....the show was not started yet so I'm upset about this since I paid more money for a reason.
