We came here to see Tommy Davidson. It was my first time at this venue. We paid for the gold seats, which places you near the stage areas. The regular ticket is for the level above and behind the gold ticket area. I love a good comedy show and so I know I'll be back. The food is mediocre. Typical fries, nachos, chicken tenders, etc. I never understood why comedy places have the worst food. I parked in the outdoor lot at the beginning of the block. It was $20 and no they do not validate.

After finding the location we were surprised by how big the spot is. The show was great just what we were looking for. The food was better than expected which is always a plus. Our server was great and polite, but one thing we weren't made aware of was the price of the "bucket deal" which seems to just be the price of 5 drinks. I wouldn't say it's misleading but saying deal implied it would be cheaper. Another thing to note is that there is no Free water. It is either sparkling or Fiji bottles. So just a heads up on that. There was a learning curve and we plan to return again!

We traveled here from Columbia, SC for the Funny Marco show. Compared to other comedy venues, the seating is first come first served out of two pricing options available. The seating area is really tight and can be uncomfortable. The viewing of the stage can also be difficult at times. The service was subpar. Our waitress seemed to be overwhelmed. We ordered drinks and foods. The drinks came out in a reasonably time. However, it took almost 2 hours to receive our food. We were told the food items are prepared at a nearby restaurant and apparently our order was never processed. We finally received our order but was missing wings that were replaced with a second order of fries. The food was not tasty or appealing. Because of the mishap, we were compensated for the food. The parking is not the best as the venue is located in an area near bars and restaurants. Be prepared to walk. The restrooms were clean. I doubt I would visit this venue again.

I have been a big fan of stand up comedy for many years, and it's always a great time to see a show in person. I'm very thankful that Charlotte has a great little comedy club so I can see some of my favorite comedians when they come to town. The club isn't really big, but it's laid out well and the service is good. Food comes from the Mexican restaurant upstairs. I've always had a great experience when visiting the comedy zone and I'm always looking forward to my next visit. If you like to laugh, you gotta swing through and check it out.

I've been here several times...it's a great venue to see some of my favorite comedians. But be warned... If you go, eat BEFORE you get there!!! The food SUCKS so bad. They are in need of a Menu Revamp so bad!!!! The burger is a frozen meat patty, the beef on the nachos is disgusting, the chicken wings are always tough. For the prices they charge, they can afford to have a REAL kitchen. They must be warming the food cause they can't be cooking back there....you never smell food in there. Last night for the first time, I had the chicken tenders. I'll give them credit for temperature but that's it!!! They served me some school cafeteria chicken patties. It tasted horrible The drinks are BS too, high as #ell and watered down. The safe bet...fries, chips and salsa (don't F with the guac!!), pretzel bites, the churro (I heard), soda, and bottled beer.

The Comedy Zone is always a good way to spend an evening. After visiting the club several times there are some blaring things that I've learned. The club often does not open at the described door time. For example, on my last visit door time was 8:45 for a 9pm show. The doors did not open til 9 and the show started even later at 9:45. Seating was packed to the brim. While intimate is encouraged this was cramped and my and my guest ultimately sat shoulder to shoulder with another pairing and was forced to share a table with no space for any of the food that was ordered. The service while nice definitely tainted the night. We ordered drinks that arrived 45 mins later and did not even get the opportunity for refills to a second round. The food service was quite the same. While the menu is basic they were not capable of handling the volume of orders closing the kitchen leaving many without the opportunity for food. Our food which was ordered while seating at the same time as drinks did not arrive til a good ways through the headliner and an hour and a half after ordering. It was fresh, hot , and correct. By that time I was starving. The club has the opportunity to be great but some operational things need to be worked out.

Nice venue and well structured where everyone can easily see the talent. It's very spacious which I didn't think upon entering. It has a very cool vibe. Food and drinks are available for purchase. I had just eaten so I refrained. One of our guests had not so ordered and enjoyed the meal. Pretty reasonable price. The wait staff was amazing. They were attentive and readily available

Came out to see Jeff Acuri and it was great. He hade laughing the whole time he was on stage. Parking is a hassle only because the parking deck isn't close to the building and we had to walk in the rain. The appetizers we ordered were hot and delicious. The pretzel bites are amazing. The Mai Tai's were a bit sweeter than I would like but still good.

This was my first time coming to The Comedy Zone in Charlotte. I came to see Luenell, who is absolutely amazing. The space is a lot bigger, but the photo rules, cleanliness, attentive staff, and prices are the same as here in Greensboro. Don't worry, that's a good thing. I loved my seating. Although we were there early, we were a bit further from stage than I initially expected. Turned out to be a good thing. One, it did not affect my line of sight at all. Two, the tables in the pit were way too close. It looked as if the patrons were on top of one another. While waiting for the show to start, I did order some fries. They were cooked kind of hard, but managed to taste like McDs with a little less salt. The venue is right next to a few restaurants/bars, so you have options. I enjoyed myself in this district and at this venue. It will not be the last time I visit.

The entertainment experience at The Comedy Zone is fantastic. 5/5Seating: Ninety-seven percent of the seats are excellent. The remaining 3% are tolerable (pole will be in the way at times, as the entertainer moves across the stage). 4.5/5Food options: leave a lot to be desired. There are no options that I enjoy. 1/5Drinks: 1/5I now find it hard to push myself to visit after so many disappointments with the food and drink options.
