Love this place. Excellent food and service. Used this for a rehearsal dinner and couldn't have been better.

We used the Clebourne House for my son's rehearsal dinner. Selena worked with us to create the perfect fun menu for the buffet. The food was wonderful, and Kelly and Selena did such a good job with set up and service. The house is a beautiful venue for an event such as this, with private parking. I highly recommend them!

This is a pretty place to get hitched... They've redone the courtyard with a really nice stone layout... There is a literally a gravel pit in the back of the area for your smokers and a couple of wrought iron benches... The food was okay... It wasn't the worst I've had at a wedding, but it also wasn't the best... The fruit was fresh, the roast beef was flavorful and whatever sauce they had on the meatballs was pretty good... No one knows what it was, though... lol The ceremony and reception were both outside and it was a beautiful day, so that was great... They needed a little time to flip the space, so I figured they would have us go inside for the cocktail hour, but they kind of let us meander around the property... There's a really nice wrap around porch and all, it wasn't bad, but I kind of felt like I was in the way a bit since they had to set up around us... There's a nice mini field of lush grass directly across the street where you can go for pictures and it looked like they got some great shots, so I'm sure the bride and groom will be excited about those... The meh parts? Well, here they go... A couple of the beers we ordered were old... I'm talking 2010 and 2011 old... No one got sick or anything and once they were aware of the issue, they offered replacements with no questions asked... I thought they handled it well, but they should definitely check their inventory a little more thoroughly... And look, I know where I am... This is the South... And I'm sure this house was a plantation quite some time ago... But I still have to say, the pictures in the men's room were a definite topic of conversation what with the slaves, confederate flag and all... The rest of the décor was nice and I understand it's their property, so they can put up whatever they like... That was kind of a sad distraction from the rest of the happy day, though... Overall, it was a decent place... I'm not sure how much it runs for, but they have nice hardwood floors, the staff was very accommodating and the courtyard was picturesque... Just watch out for the parking lot, ladies... It is ALL gravel, so either walk in pairs or bring some flats... (Especially if you're a smoker...) Stilettos might not end well... lol

If you decide to go with the Clebourne House to have an event, do NOT take any of Candace's recommendations. She recommended me a "DJ" who was her son, and he wasn't even a DJ at all. We made a playlist for him that Candace said he had to have by a certain date to download all the songs which was obviously a lie because his laptop never left YouTube and we only heard a few songs off that list. He was drinking during our party, so by the end of the night played mostly what he wanted to hear. Myself, and multiple people had to talk to him to pump up the party and play the music we wanted to hear. Does that sound like a DJ to you? When you throw a party, the music makes the party. We still had a great time, but it would have been a wonderful time if the music was what we wanted and not just played off of YouTube. On the plus side, the food was good and the portions were great. The young lady working the bar did her job well and even walked around asking people if they needed another drink when they were out or low. The venue has a beautiful courtyard, which we loved.

My husband and I were very unhappy with The Clebourne House, and we would not recommend them as a wedding venueAfter being given the "salesperson smile," we found that as we got closer to our wedding day the director/owner of the Clebourne house, Candace, became increasingly more difficult to work with. As you can find in other reviews, if you choose to go with people (officiants, caterers, photographers etc) outside of Candace's suggestions, the helpfulness that she is willing to give will decrease quickly. She was incredibly rude to our guests, as well. Many guests mentioned how pushy, loud, and rude she was when dealing with our ceremony and reception. She was unorganized and unprofessional both during our year of planning and especially during our wedding day.Further, Candace requires anyone who books with her to also use her catering. Our food tasted terrible, our buffet was tiny, and she tore it down before all of our guests were finished eating. Not only that, but she promised us hot roast beef and gave us cold-cut roast beef from a deli counter. When we mentioned to her that we had wanted hot roast beef, she denied ever having that conversation with us.All-in-all, Candace is extremely difficult to work with. She didn't respect us or our ideas/vision for our wedding, and she made the whole planning process more stressful than necessary. My husband and I don't have fond memories of our wedding day because of all of the things that Candace did to make us feel unwelcome, unwanted, and unappreciated on our special day. When we tried to speak to her about these grievances, she wouldn't discuss any of the real issues we addressed. She wouldn't even return our emails after she sent a first response email that basically said, "too bad". Bottom line, Candace wants your money, and once she has it, you're not important to her anymore. Though The Clebourne House seems like a good deal, it really isn't. Our advice is to book somewhere else.

We used the Clebourne House for a bridal luncheon and it was perfect. We were seated at 2 lovely round tables in the main banquet room. The table was elegant and the atmosphere bright and inviting. The food was very well presented, fresh. A simple chicken salad croissant and side salad with fresh fruit. The cake was lovely and decorated very nicely, tasted great. We were served mimosas wine and water and allowed to mingle for 30 minutes before we sat down. Then we ate at a leisurely pace. It was just the right venue for a luncheon and very reasonable priced. Our server was professional and very friendly.

I had a fantastic wedding reception at The Clebourne House. It is a beautiful house in Fort Mill, SC and I loved the fact that the reception could be half indoors/half outdoors. Candace is ON TOP OF IT. I literally had to do NOTHING. She and her staff took care of everything and put everything together exactly how I wanted it (we met 2-3 times prior to our wedding). My mom and I (and family and friends) were really able to just enjoy the entire day without worrying about details. My engagement was just four months long, and she was able to make sure everything turned out great in such a short time. She does this all of the time, so she knows what she's doing and was able to accommodate my requests such as photobooth, lawn games, getting ready pre-wedding, etc.We ordered the heavy appetizers and had a custom mashed potato bar. The food was fine (not the best ever and we didn't receive raving reviews from our guests, but it didn't detract from the event as far as I know, but I didn't have time to eat too much!). Our guests did comment that the bar staff was SUPER FRIENDLY and helpful. We got married June 21. So it was hot. We got a tent for the pending rain, but it helped cool the reception down too. After June 21, I'd recommend holding off on an outdoor reception :) Although, we still managed to dance and have fun (we had a midday reception).Overall I had a great time and so did my guests. If I had it all to do over again, I'd pick the same location for my reception!
