Thought we would try it since they had both steak and seafood. It was okay, nothing over the top. The portions were decent for the price, but the food wasn't spectacular. The shrimp were a bit soggy, and the crab cake mostly filler, hardly any meat. The decor was neat, very "sea" like. The server was not the most pleasant or attentive. This was our first time there, and she didn't tell us anything like she was telling others sitting nearby. She never offered me drink refills but made sure my husbands cup was always full. Unfortunately for her, I decide what the tip will be since I, too, am a server!

A delicious lunch, however being given a baked sweet potato over the classic baked potato involuntarily, hurt me so deep. And of course I gave it a shot... and I can not believe people make pies out these

Captain's Cap is a fish camp. We went there for a friend's birthday in my pirate group. The space was great and they were good with accommodating a large group.The inside vibe is old and the customers seem to be an older crowd as well. There's some ship and fisherman decor, but all seems a little out dated. Service was okay. Pitchers of water and tea were left at the table which cut down on needing refills. Hushpuppies came to the table first. After our trips to the salad bar, our plates weren't cleared which made the table seem crowded. Once the meals arrived, everything was shouted out. And not even five minutes into eating, they already wanted to bring our checks. Just seemed like they wanted to rush us out. The food is greasy and salad bar is unappetizing. The salad is iceberg and has lots of white pieces. Even the tomatoes and cucumbers have a dull color. There's no light dresings. And the cheese tastes like processed cheese. The macaroni salad was okay. Most of the food is deep fried, but you get a lot of it. I ordered the crab cakes with onion rings. I didn't think the crab cakes would be deep fried, but they were. And all of the batters have the same fried taste. The crab cakes had a lot of breading in the mix and the flavor profile was off. Onion rings were super greasy. I didn't eat them all. Honestly, the best part of my meal was our dessert, which someone brought in. I left feeling sick from all the grease. They did an okay job accommodating our group, but the food makes me not want to come back.

I've been a customer here for 16 years and have always been satisfied. But today I went to the take out window and ordered perch with fries. I wanted something soft since I've had recent dental work. While the small order was huge.. enough for an army, it was all dried out and hard. The French fries were inedible. The hush puppies were the only good thing. Disappointed as I am on a tight budget and it was a rare treat for me.

Do not order from here.My 1st and only experience was horrible.This restaurant advertises.the Combination 2 with 2 types of your choice seafood with quantities listed included for roughly $32 then they cut the fish quantity in 1/2.If you ordered 18 Perch, you will recieve 9 perch and the greasy calabash shrimp.Food is incredibly greasy. Burnt hush puppies. Soggy, greasy onion rings. Stuffed the 2 orders of onion rings and 2 order of fries in 1 Togo plate.Which made the food even greasier and mushy.Cole slaw is grated to a mushy texture.Manager was incredibly rude refused to admit that they are misleading customers.Even stated the family meals do not list quantities, which was also false.Of course this meal went into the trash.Lesson learnedUnfortunately 0 stars is not an option available for a rating.

Ahoy mates! Delicious steaks and seafood! Always enjoy the food! This isn't fine dining. It's a wonderful place to go out for a nice atmosphere and excellent dinner. Fish camp style!

Great food large quantities,Serve was fantastic and salad bar was amazing! I ordered orster's and shrimp combo. The tartar sauce was delicious but I like a bit more horseradish in the hot sauces.

Food is marginal at best. Shrimp seemed greasy and rubbery. Baked potato wasn't done. Service was fair and not attentive. Place is showing its age. Salad bar was skimpy and not well kept. Decided to try because it is closer to home. Surf & Turf in Bessemer City is far superior to this place. Will not return.

Amazing to go of broiled Cod filet with baked potato and slaw...generous portions of broiled Cod fish, dusted with seasoning, and sides with a fully cooked potato and tasty slaw!!! A great meal!!!

My friend and I ate there Friday March 10th and we both got food poisoning. It was absolutely terrible. I violently vomited, non-stop diarrhea and the worst stomach cramps. That was worse than any stomach bug I have gone through. I do not recommend this place at all. I advice everyone to stay away and tell your parents/grandparents to stay away. I do not recommend them putting themselves in harms way.
