The Cabarrus Arena And Events Center

We came to a gymnastics meet here and first off, there is no drop off for Ubers. You have to wait in a long line to pay, which is credit card only, and get questioned for dropping off. Then once you get to pay to get in, it's cash only. And then inside, the concessions are card only. Could not be more mind-boggling. The staff are not very friendly about it either and didn't know how to count change.The venue itself is large and has that "rodeo" vibe to it. I did notice the cell service was weak, but don't think they do it on purpose. I think it's just an old building with lots of metal. I did not see an option to pay for wifi as other reviews have suggested. The seating is nice and tiered and the leg room was decent. There was a side hall as well where the awards were and there are no screens as part of the venue, they were brought in from the outside.PRO TIP: Park next door at the county building for free and it is just as far of a walk as some of the far our spots in the lot, and you'll get out a lot quicker after the event.

I came here for a very small Christmas event. There was also a cheerleading competition. Parking was $8. I thought that was a bit much. Nothing really special about the space.

This is a nice facility. The reason for the two star rating is that to park your car and to buy concessions, its credit card only. But to actually get into the venue it's cash only! Who is running this place? They need to have their head examined.

We were here today for a cheerleading competition. I feel this place is in the middle of nowhere. It's a large building with plenty of parking. Do not expect to have cell service (or internet) while being here. If you do want internet, they'll be glad to charge $10 to provide it ... no thanks. Parking was an additional $5. Also you'll probably need cash if there's an event. Bathrooms were reasonably clean. It's a noisy building since it's mostly all metal. Anyway.... it is what it is.

The space is basic nothing spectacular to say the least. The people are friendly at least those working the two events I've attended at this venue. The first event was "Bring It" dance competition with my then high schooler who is now away in college. Today my husband and I took our toddler to the Discover the Dinosaurs: Time Trek event advertised on television severely and we have a dino lover. Since I'm rating the venue I won't allow the cost and insufficient activities for this event regulate my review. The space is open and not to cold or to hot which is a good thing because temperature is important when it comes to being in a space with high energy activity. The bathrooms are pretty clean to be in an arena with high traffic but I can only assume it's due to the staff maintaining real time. The parking lot is pretty spacious and the lighting is typical for such a space. Overall if there is an event we want to attend and this venue is listed I'm confident that I can count on the things I mention in this review.

This place only takes cash. Overcharge for parking and entrance. And the acoustics suck here

A little off the beating path, and they did change there entrance to the parking area, if not careful you can miss it, please GPS is still pointing to the original entrance.The facility is will maintain and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The size is kind of on the small (at least were I come from, it's more the size of the high school gym). According to the staff, it used for arena football, trade shows, and more of a farm area. Will if they have bulls in there you couldn't smell it We did have food from there catering service, which the main food was very good, BBQ, potatoes salad, Cole slaw, chicken ect. The dessert which was supposed to be banana wafer pudding, but it was not very good. didn't taste like banana at all.

Attending Showstoppers Dance Convention and overall I'm pleased with the venue. The arena is bit off the beaten path, but it's large with easy parking. Venue staff are friendly and helpful. Restrooms are clean and could use a facelift, but not out of date. The only down side is the facility is in an area of Concord that doesn't have the best cell reception. It doesn't matter the provider-just poor reception.

Pretty sure they have cell blockers to make you pay for their WiFi (per device $10). Also bring cash and comfy seat cushions.

I go every year to affair I want to have their classic events there and it's most event old place to be friendly environment.
