This place has long been a southend staple back when it used to be called the Gin Mill. I used to come often for the rooftop, the music, and all of the fun games like buckhunter. It also helps that they have relatively cheap drinks. I came back in recently and while it was nice to be back for nostalgic reasons I think I've aged out which makes sense as it has always had a young crowd. It usually isn't very crowded during the day time with a couple devoted regulars posted up at the bar, but at night the line will often wrap around the block. It's a rowdy good time if you are looking for some late night fun.

I have been to Brickyard a handful of times at varying levels of crowds and I've always had a solid time. The crowd definitely skews a little younger but the vibe is generally pretty good. You won't be bored between the rooftop, bar games like darts and skee ball, and multiple screens. My favorite part is the popcorn machine in the corner that patrons are welcome to!

Awful. The bouncer at the bar took my id and said "nah". I questioned him as a joke for the second because I'm not underage than made a joke back and he was not having it. Took my id and was extremely rude. I tried to argue back but no use when I am of age. This is nonsense don't come here.

This bar stood out from the bar crawl this weekend because the music was pretty balanced so everyone in my group could dance and sing along. The bouncers were nice and fair and they even had buttery hot popcorn for us to much on, for free in the corner, and a few games. I wish the drinks were more affordable but this was a solid spot for some cocktails and tunes.

From DC and had an amazing time. Drinks were great and our bartender Trisha/Tricia (so sorry if I spelled it wrong) was so accommodating and hospitable. 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for a great time, great vibe, and friendly bartenders

I would give this place zero stars if I could. The light red haired bouncer who claimed to also be the "manager/owner" grabbed my friend and threw her out with unnecessary force. When he started shoving me I asked to speak to a manager and he said he was the manager/supervisor/owner. We went straight to the cops waiting outside. I highly recommend NOT going here.

I was visiting Charlotte and my cell phone had died. The staff welcomed me inside to use their phone charging station to recharge my phone so I could line up a Lyft. While my phone was getting some juice, the place filled and I was surrounded by folks having a great time together. Thank you!

It was was 11 and they didn't let me and 5 other "black" friends in because it was too busy but there was no line and no other people inside. Then let continued to let other "white" people in. Not saying its racist but they have "standards"

Horrible experience! My husband and I sat at the bar to have a few beers and hear a live band. We were forced to give up our seats at the bar when the band started playing. We told the bartender we needed to sit. we were over 50 and wanted to keep our chairs. The bartender called a bouncer over who literally tried to rip the barstool out from under me. If he had succeeded I would have gotten hurt. They called police who forced us to leave the bar. We were sober, had been sitting at the bar for 2 hours with no issue and had paid our bill. This was an egregious overeach of management and police.

Before Covid, this was a fun place to go to, however after the pandemic, it has clearly become a bottom bar. My friends and I attempted to go in because the Gin Mill line was too long. One of my friends was turned away because they talked to some friends they say in another bar's line and was told they were too drunk, while watching a man obliterated completely unable to walkby themselves get in. This place is going down a dark turn, and it's becoming very evident.
