The Bowl at Ballantyne

New area in town, still under construction. It needs more work and charm. But it's a good option for dinning in the area, decent number of restaurants have opened, some are just about. Great variety as well. It has an outdoor entertainment venue for performances which is nice. They started to decorate it for Christmas, so The Bowl is getting a tad more personality. OK parking around, if you live in the area, this place could be a nice area to shop, watch a show, come for a meal! It's getting there, kinda of generic, maybe they can add more interesting features!

The first thing to know is this ENTIRE project remains under construction.IF you go during weekday lunch, prepare to spend time looking for a parking space.Parking is terrible! There is NO parking deck!!Very limited street parking & once the Condo construction is complete, it will only get worse.All the restaurants are clustered in very close proximity of each other which makes it even worse.NOT ALL restaurants are open. Check the website to see who is open and their hours.The website advertises 'fine dining', huh? Like what? Harriets Hamburgers? Old Meck Brewery? Bossy Buelah Chicken Shack? Roosters Wood Fired Chicken, where you will pay $20 bucks for a hamburger and $23 bucks for a half chicken? North Italia where you'll pay $22 bucks for a pizza and $9 bucks for a beer.I looked at the wine list for Postino which is a wine bar serving bruschetta. I did not recognize ONE SINGLE brand of wine they sell by the glass or bottle.This is a high rent piece of property in a prime location. I played a lot of golf on what was one Ballantyne Golf Course. There are several near by hotels so I expect this is their primary target market, people who are traveling on business and have an expense account.I see where they tout the AMP as an outdoor music venue. It remains to be seen the quality and caliber of their line-up. IMO, it would need to be exceptional to draw me into that traffic mixing bowl.We went to Flower Child which is very busy during weekday lunch. They have a great menu selection with reasonable prices and many protein options if you want to build a bowl.

We love heading out here. There is a good mix of restaurants with a few more to come. Everyone should be able to find something they like. From upscale Italian to a Good Burger and Chicken Sandwich, it's all here. There's always something happening on the weekends. Live Music, Pop Up Markets and for the past two Saturdays and thenext two, you can bring the kids to see Santa and Mrs Claus. (Actually an old Military High School buddy of mine) Oh yeah, DOGS ARE WELCOMED...

I cannot speak highly enough of this area for dining or entertainment. Whether you're craving Italian, good wine, craft beer, tapas, burgers, or dessert there is a restaurant for you here. When there is a performance scheduled, The Amp is spacious to accommodate you. Parking is plentiful and the area is clean. Come check it out for yourself. I really like it here.

This is a cute area that consists primarily of restaurants and eateries. There is an outdoor space "The Amp" that is used to host concerts or musical performances. I noticed the food choices weren't necessarily abundant because a few place weren't open however there was definitely something for everyone, a variety of cuisines to choose from and also a wine bar, Postino that sells charcuterie, wine ect. I loved the fact that parking was convenient, and there was a decent amount available. I also thought the design of the outdoor space which includes plenty of seating and a few high top tables and chairs that allow one to people watch or enjoy the weather and their meal outdoors was nice.

A word of caution... The Bowl is still under construction, so be prepared for some ongoing work. Parking can also be a bit... challenging, but if you're not in a rush or enjoy a little extra walk before indulging (like me!), you'll be fine. I've visited The Bowl several times now, and each visit makes me appreciate it even more. There's a great mix of restaurants already, like Flower Child (we love a sweet treat from here) and an OMB location for local beer lovers. They also host pop-up markets and events. I'm thrilled to have this location so close to home, especially with some of my favorite food staples now practically in my backyard. I am hopefully of its potential in the upcoming year.

New food spot in ballantyne. They are still in the process of adding more restaurants here. So far, only about 3 open restaurants. Postino, north Italian, and flower child are open. There is plenty of parking with a brewery. I believe there is also a park in this area. If you live close by, def. Something to do. There is also an amphitheater where a lot of concerts are help at.

Looks like I am going to love this new area in Ballantyne! So far, North Italia has been a great addition...so nice not to have to drive to South End. Same with Flower Child and OMB. I am so excited to see The Salty Donut and Hawkers are up next with their grand openings. Parking is plenty, beautiful murals are coming, and the outdoor areas for walking and sitting are going to be super nice year-round. Can't wait to see how everything unfolds.

I am staying at Aloft and I had no idea that the Bowl even existed. It was so fun to walk out of the hotel and stay right at the Bowl! What a fun area! There are restaurants, hotels, bars, an amphitheater, festivals, and so much more. I felt very safe and loved walking around and seeing the really cool seating areas and places to lounge. This is a great place to stay and play!

Great restaurants and amazing outdoor spaces! Nice job Ballantyne for adding this gem to the area.
