Our group of four had dinner at the Bottle Tree recently during Restaurant Week. Overall the dining experience was ok. The vibe was great, the service great, but the food was a bit lacking. We tried the pork belly egg rolls, scallops, and the salmon bomba for appetizers. Then we ordered the salmon curry, short rib gumbo, crawfish pappardelle, and venison ossobuco for entrees. We all tried each others' dishes to taste and were in agreement that in general, the dishes lacked flavor and came lukewarm (on dishes that should be piping hot). The scallop appetizer was really good. The salmon in the curry dish was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. But others were a bit lacking in flavor. We were especially surprised by the gumbo as we were expecting it to pack a flavor 'punch', but it didn't. Overall, it was ok. I feel we need to give it another try when we are in the area. I can see the draw of this restaurant. It has an intimate nice setting and the service was great. Reviewing their menu (outside of restaurant week), I see many interesting creative dishes that I would have loved to try, but were not available during restaurant week.

Came in on a summer Wednesday evening after some rain, so it was quiet. We sat outside. My friend and I had never been. I would like to go back on a Sunday and sit outside. The outside space and seating is super cute. We started off with a bottle and Pesto and carrots. Our waitress recommended it to use and we both really enjoyed it. It's definitely different but the pita bread goes great with it. We didn't order anything else, to me everything was a littler pricier. There was plenty of street parking and near by lots.

Looking at the menu it feels like it's lacking but the food and atmosphere was absolutely delicious. We met some friends for a dinner and the apps to the dessert were to die for. I got the hangar steak and it had a crab sauce on top that made it one of the best steaks I have ever had. I'd go back in a heartbeat. This is the perfect spot for a date night. Be sure to make a reservation as it's a small space.

We came for the NYE four course dinner, and it wasn't what I expected given the good reviews. It's the small things for me, like lackluster presentation, forgetting to bring a spoon for soup and then bringing the wrong type of spoon, not cutting salad veggies uniformly, gristle in the tartar, caramel popcorn that looked straight from the 7-11, etc. Of all the courses, only the main entree met my expectations for the price from a quality and taste perspective.Service was good though and I liked the heated tent. I'd be willing to come back to try their regular menu.

This is my second time at Bottle Tree and it did not disappoint! There is a moody atmosphere this time around, with dimmer lights which brings a cozy atmosphere. The staff there are extremely sweet and always answer all of our questions and concerns. Our server did an excellent job on informing us of their seasonal menu change.My friends and I came during Restaurant Week and were told that their dinner portions were even more abundant. We were an awed with the presentation, taste, and abundance of food. I got their drunken dumplings and it was delicious with their ponzu sauce. My only complaint was the texture as the filling had a purée texture than chewy texture like traditional dumplings, but it was extremely flavorful. The Duck fat apple pie was intriguing. You can taste the duck fat in the apple pie, which makes it savory and sweet, you just want to keep eating. Their Rohan Duck was amazing!!! The duck was cooked perfectly medium rare, the mushrooms and local greens were crispy; not to mention the panda and apricot purée adds a nice sweet touch to the flavorful dish. The other dishes my friends ordered were their fried green tomatoes, pork roulade, and filet risotto.

We were visiting for the weekend and were looking for something with great food and great cocktails. We found it! I told the waiter we were looking for quality, not necessarily quantity and they delivered. My wife had the Icelandic cod and I had the crab soufflé as an entree. It really hit the spot. This will be a stop every time we visit!

The food at this restaurant is simply amazingly delicious. Every dish we had was a blend of yummy flavors and textures. Our server (so nice she could have been an owner and yet she was not) explained to us that the bottle tree was a farm to table, locally sourced food type restaurant. Ironically we were just looking for a place to enjoy a meal after a flight into Charlotte airport. We just got lucky. There is no ambiance, but the food makes up for it. We had the pork belly egg rolls, fried burrata, roasted cauliflower and mushroom, short ribs and stuffed pappardelle. Truly a special treat. I'm not sure why it isn't a 4.7 or 4.8.

This is a fun spot to hang out on a date or with a big group. The open area in the back is beautifully lit with string lights and there are both indoor and outdoor bars. Lovely mixed drinks. Friendly and helpful staff.

Food was just ok. For price I would expect more flavor. Had appetizer, entree and dessert. Rice had no flavor. Carrot cake cheesecake was burnt.
