Had a great time throwing Axe/hatchets for the first time. I've been meaning to try this out, but while in town visiting a friend, I figured what better way to spend some time doing this while hanging out.The attendant (owner?) Brad was really cool. We paid up and he showed us how to throw (neither of us had done it before). He quickly went over the rules which are simple and common sense such as "don't throw axes at other people", gave us a demonstration and then watched us throw a few before walking away encouraging us to have a good time. The boards are marked so that you can record scores and a sheet posted of some games you can play to make it interesting. We played a couple games but honestly had the most fun just throwing and trying to get it as close to the bullseye as possible. This was great way to spend an hour and would definitely recommend if you're visiting here. Feel free to bring a 4 pack over from the nearby brewery across the way.

Okay it is a *little* expensive at $20 per person for an hour, but this is a fun event for an every-now-and-then experience. They allow you to bring in food and beverage and will put your beer on ice for you. This is probably a highly profitable business because there is such low overhead. The bays are on a reserved basis with a convenient online reservation system. The target is approximately 12 feet from the toe line and you throw, essentially a hatchet, overhanded towards the target. After a few practice runs, you can then play competitive games (ala darts) and even in teams. There is a waiver involved and a short educational "how-to" for technique and then you are on your own. Safety rules, only one "ax" out at a time.I took my 80 year old mother-in-law, my wife and three college aged sons and we had a blast. The restaurant across the courtyard will deliver and the brewery next to the restaurant will sell beer you can bring over if you wish. We went on a Saturday afternoon and had a fun time.I say this is profitable because it is a few 2X6 boards nailed alongside one another for the target to be painted on and the axes are re-usable like a putter at a miniature golf course. After the short safety and training speech, it is all self service.

What a blast! First, the location is amazing! The repurposing of Taylor Mills now includes the axe throwing, The Farehouse, the brewery, & a dance club. You park 1 time & never live your car the rest of the night. I felt great about the pricing & the fact that the staff were so easy to work with. We had a party of six & haven't had so much fun competing & laughing at each other! We will be back!

We had such a great time at the Blue Ox in late July with family. The hatchet master (I think Brad -Long hair) was a great teacher and fun to have around. The atmosphere was casual and fun and competitive! Everyone loved it with ages ranging from 14 to 67. Good family time!

Really enjoyed coming here. Very laid back environment and great location. Make a reservation!. You can bring your own beer and wine, no liquor. There is a brewery and a restaurant/bar across the parking lot so you can easily grab a bite and drinks before/after you visit this axe throwing place or grab some to go and being them here. The place is clean and the music they play is enjoyable and good volume. Makes for a great date night, or a fun activity with friends or family.

Me and couple ladies decided to come and throw some axes, and we had the best time here, the guys working was super friendly and helpful, they stayed by our side helping us until we was able to butcher the board. I strongly recommend if you've never tried it to come check it out. They do not serve alcohol but it is bring your own beer or wine, which I find great, much more affordable to bring your own then ordering somewhere, there are also a couple places to eat in the Mill. Thank you Blue Ox Hatchet

The people here where awesome! Lots of energy in the place! Had a absolute blast. Helpful staff, clean place, and really made you feel at home. The price is worth the experience you get. I love the challenges they gave us for the game. Great people. 10/10 would recommend.
