The Amp - Ballantyne

The facility is quietly located in Ballantyne on the back side of the resort. The layout is a smaller version of Verizon Amphitheater. The hungry can be satisfied by food trucks and the drink stands are plentiful. The facility has no bad lawn seats, and ample close stage seats. The sound quality is very good throughout, it is worth a trip. The place is well staffed with security and venue staff.

We love this new venue! We saw the Turnpike Troubadors here this past weekend and had the absolute best time. The venue itself is the perfect location right near a bunch of restaurants and the new OMB location. I thought the security and entry process was organized. There were several food trucks set up inside to enjoy before the show. The sun sets behind the stage and since it was a little cloudy, the sky was absolutely beautiful. We had lawn seats and there is a great view of the stage from any angle. They have a few kinks to iron out as to be expected. They ran out of alcohol and bottled waters pretty early on. The bathrooms are not nearly big enough to accommodate 4,500 people and they needed more port a johns. Otherwise, we love this spot and can't wait to enjoy events here for years to come!

The venue has a great vibe. Outdoor and open seating. Stage has a great view from anywhere. Sound system is amazing.

Here enjoying the Charlotte International Arts Festival festivities!Plenty of room and spacing available! The space is surrounded by a fence, so anyone can't just walk up at any time. I would assume events have to be planned and scheduled.No actual seating provided. This is definitely a BYOS (bring your own seating) type of outdoor venue spacing. The turf grassy area in front of the stage is tiered into 4-6 large platformed levels, which helps everyone be able to see performances on stage equallyOn the day i went:potter pottys = bathroomsFood trucks = food cateringParking can be found for FREE either directly onsite at The Amp or a little further up the road at the Campbell Snacks building parking lot

Fun night at The Amp...Great spot to hang out and watch good bands in great weather. Beautiful layout...up close. Good food trucks and brewery selections...just the beginning of more to come in beautiful Ballantyne. Show I attended was $10....

All things were good until not being allowed to use "indoor VIP bathroom" at a 50* rainy event!!! The bathroom was empty but was still not allowed to use the bathroom after spending $100 plus at this venue! This place needs to reevaluate their policies. I certainly won't be spending any money at this place when not provided with a proper public bathroom for a paying client!!! It's fine to keep serving drinks at ridiculous prices yet not providing proper facilities. Ballantyne needs to do better!
