Terry House Barbecue

First time visiting the Terry House this weekend. It's a popular little place with ample parking in front and back. I went for breakfast and the place was packed. Friendly and attentive service (shout out to Emily), despite the hustle and bustle of the morning. Reasonable prices, full breakfast menu - pretty much has it all. I like to support local so this will become my go to place for breakfast. I will take photos the next time I visit. FYI - closed on Mondays

Terry House has been one of the quiet local hot spots for many decades ! You'll find a lot of days were some of local car enthusiasts come out in their classic cars. Food has always been top notch with the burgers, fries, chicken tenders, salads, and so much more ! (Tho my grandma doesn't recommend the hot dogs, haha) Nevertheless, new ownership and still one of the town favorites. It's nice to see the classic southern diners thrive still especially since lord knows we have way too many fast food options! Definitely gonna be revisiting again real soon myself !

The wife and I eat here about everyday, best place and price in Thomasville. Never had a bad experience. If you get something that's not how you like let them know and it's taken care of. Honestly just a good spot for good country folks.

Like a number of mom & pop, meat & 2 restaurants with barbecue somewhere in the name and somewhere on the menu, this is not a classic barbecue joint. There is no sign that the barbecue served here is cooked here, and it could be a commercially secured product.They serve all 3 meals Tue - Sun, and breakfast seems to be a big draw. They have daily meat and 2 plates like CS Steak, etc. They offer Pork Barbecue, a variety of Fried Seafood, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and salads.We tried a Cheeseburger, Hot Dog, and a Chopped BBQ sandwich. The Hot Dog was pretty good, and with a little more chili, it could be very good. The wiener is the bright red kind, the chili is good, but lightly applied, and the bun is nice & soft.The Cheeseburger is a nice diner style burger - smallish, a little greasy, but with some nice flavor. We tend to eat this type burger with just mayo & pickles, or with chili, onions, & slaw - seems like a smaller burger gets swallowed by a large slice of tomato.The barbecue was just ordinary, and in fact, it tasted stale. The barbecue slaw is the red kind. Wouldn't order the barbecue again, but would try some of the country cooking items, seafood, and breakfast, for sure. Our 3 sandwiches and 2 diet sodas cost $8.03, much more than reasonable. Service was very, very good, and they have a drive through for those on the go.

Great fresh brewed tea. Beverages free with meal for Seniors. Good variety of food reasonably priced. Sunday fried chicken is awesome. Old fashioned burgers are homemade. Country fried steak is outstanding. Great service. Locally owned and operated. Closed Mondays. Open 7-3 Tuesday thru Sunday. A community gem!

What a wonderful sunday lunch experience. For a carolina que restaurant, this place has the best fried chicken I have ever had in my life. We had a wonderful experience because of MELISSA (MEL) the waitress. Confusion with the sunday special was completely avoided when she took the time to explain and walk us through our choices. So much patience and a great smile made us feel at home. I will be coming back and I'm already excited just thinking about it.

What a life saver on Father's Day!! My dad wanted barbecue and they are only 3 miles from our house in a neighborhood in Thomasville. Unassuming business with great service and great bbq. In the land of Lexington style BBQ that is saying a lot! Open on Sunday when most BBQ joints are not.. happy to supply enough BBQ for 14 people with 20 minute preorder and a smile from the servers despite being slammed with customers on a Sunday! The BBQ itself was delicious as were the fixings. When a BBQ joint can make grandad happy, they got it going on!

Food is very good! Friendly courteous wait staff. Great place to go for Sunday lunch.

Wife and I just stopped by for dinner. Always enjoyed it before. When they brought our food,the waitress sort of just plopped it down and didn't even acknowledge us. All of our food was stone cold!!! Country Fried Steak was tough,gravy was runny,you could see the water separating from the beans. Absolutely The Worst plate of food I've ever been served! Never checked on by a waitress. When we went to pay and told cashier how bad it was, she nonchalantly said she'd tell them DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY!!!!!

The original owner recently took back over and the place is much cleaner and fresher than ever before. The food is great, including the BBQ, which is cooked in house. You can't beat those pink hotdogs with chili and slaw. Try the BBQ plate with slaw and fries. They offer daily meat specials and plenty of veggie options. Great little local spot with home cooked meals.
