Wasn't our first destination however glad we came. Good Latin music, decor, the tables had beautiful colorful fabric under glass which added to the large dinning space. Our server was spot on. She was helpful and kept our drinks refilled along with our chips and salsa. Some earlier comments were about sad service. As I watched the other table they were all being serviced in a timely manner. Our food was hot, and flavorful. We would go again.

We moved to Huntersville three years ago and began our search for the best Mexican restaurant in the area and found that at Taxco! We pretty much come here every Sunday after church, so I decided it was time for a review! Service is always great - Cecelia and Itzel are two of the best! Salsa is SO good and we love their choriqueso as well! We've tried a variety of their menu items and they never disappoint. If you like salsa verde, it's a great addition to your meal. The atmosphere is your typical Mexican restaurant, and the food and service are the best!! We love our Taxco friends!

We stopped in here for a quick lunch and a margarita. It's a little hole in the wall place in a big strip mall. Service was very efficient and food came within 15 minutes. Chips and salsa were decent. I ordered the chili poblano, rice and beans, salad, and a chicken taco. The chicken taco was a little dry. Rice and beans fantastic. Chili poblano was to die for. And of course you can't mess up a good margarita! Overall great little lunch spot.

I found this place by accident because I was walking around for three hours while waiting for my car to be serviced. I wasn't going to bother when I saw pretty good yet not great reviews (Google included). But then I saw a photo of a bar and figured that after spending $594 on my car, I could use a beer or two. I went with two. And I went with fajitas, even though he said they were tortillas. I was really confused. I have since done some research, and I could write about fajitas vs tortillas and all that but it would be like you trying to teach me how to play the banjo. But you're not here for semantics or banjos. You're here to learn about the food and if it's any good. Or you're here because we're friends on Yelp and you read my reviews even though you live on the other side of the country--or in Myanmar. Anyway, the salad should have had more ingredients but it was super fresh and enjoyable anyway. The fajita plate thing was very good. I wouldn't say amazing because there were only a few tomato cubes and the meat was slightly on the dry side and nothing was piping hot, but it was still very good--I finished the plate. As far as food, the quality was the epitome of a 4. The service, value, and beer were all a 5. The atmosphere was cool--I liked the cultural vibe of the Spanish-themed music and international soccer on tv. Cleanliness was a 4 but probably time to remove those worn safe-distance stickers from the floor. Overall, recommended. A pretty good Mexican joint hidden somewhere in Huntersville NC.

This place never disappoints on the asada tacos, refrieds and pico (pro tip - put your pico in the beans...) Bangin'! Always fresh, always fast takeout and the owner/mgr is a really nice guy!

Always looking for great Mexican food and have never tried Taxco. Not sure why but I will tell you that I probably won't be coming back. I hate to say that, but it is what it is. Service. I would say that our service was pretty bad. Just seemed like they didn't want to be there. We always had to flag him down for something. Food. Mediocre at beat. I am a an avid Mexican food eater and I was not impressed with the offering. I had the pork verde enchiladas and it was just not good. My wife had the carne asada and again it was sub par. This will not be on my rotation.

I can always tell a restaurant I like because I don't want to stop eating. This was definitely the Huntersville Mexican restaurant for that. This is two reviews combined, because I forgot pictures. Chicken enchiladas de Mole - wow.... The mole was savory with just a hint of chocolate, perfect in my opinion.... I had a tamale with it. Yes...I was hungry and had too much food. They added a red sauce to the tamale, a perfect addition. Muy sabroso! You will have to try the guacamole de Mexico.. it has pico de Gallo in it.. Nice, French, chunky.... Delicioso!!I also had two mango margaritas with tajin on the rim. I would have had a third, but I had to driveOn my second visit...I had a Taco Shrimp Fajita Salad.. they did the shrimp fajitas and set them on the bottom, covered with lettuce, guac, sour cream, and cheese. No dressing needed. Very very good.I was still hungry after the salad, so I ordered two cheese enchiladas with red sauce.. the flavors of the red sauce were very "home-made-ness". Loved the red sauce on the enchiladas. Just the perfect amount of spicy- not heat, but spicy... ( I added the picture because I finally remembered to take one. The salsa for the "chips and salsa" is a bit on the mild side, but be careful asking for the "Mas picante". Holy cow it was hot!!! But they both had a great flavor. I did add a touch of lime.... But that is just me Maybe I should just add pictures of plates when I am done. A lot of food on the plate.... Eh Food on the plate.....okEmpty plate - goodPlate licked clean - excellentThis restaurants rated a "plate licked clean". Definitely coming back again.
