Taste of Soul

So we are vegans and love to try new vegan places, came across this vegan and Oh My Goodness! My husband said out of all the burgers he had so far, this is the BEST one. The Mac n Cheese hits every flavor you would want. We also had the Soul Bowl and it was good too, good amount of protein and flavors, lots of veggies. Another best thing is the Peach Cobbler desserts, man it's addictive.We would definitely come back to try other options soon.

The food was good non complaints I just don't like the set up I do respect the hustle tho and the portion size is decent

Found on yelp due to the high ratings , searching for vegan restaurants in Charlotte. The Food was absolutely fantastic. You could immediately tell it was made with love and quality ingredients. More of a to-go style place but we decided to eat onsite. We ordered the ribs plate and the cheeseburger. Wanted to bring home leftovers but not possible. Had to eat it all. It was that good. Husband and wife owners - both so kind, came out to introduce themselves and check on us. We cannot wait to go back and support this restaurant.

Food was amazing!! So sad I didn't get a picture but me and my partner had the vegan ribs, jerk chicken wings, and the fish. The fish was my absolute favorite with the tartar sauce, omgggggg so amazing. The ribs were super good, closest thing ive tasted to actual ribs. The kale greens were supperrrr yummy too. The only thing we didnt like was the Mac and cheese. It's hard to make good vegan Mac and this wasn't it. As far as service there really wasn't any lol. You sit in a food hall until they come out with your order, took about 30-40 mins and fairly pricey about $25-$35 for a plate but it's big portions.

Soul Food vegan restaurant...YES PLEASE The best fish I have ever had ..the greens are spiced to perfection and the yams are delicious. This is my 2nd trip and I really enjoy it.

I'm going to start off with the baked beans!!! lol those baked beans are so delicious and flavorful omg!!! They are the best! The mac and cheese is also really good! The vegan "fish" tasted more like fried chicken but it was fried really good and not nasty. The owners are super sweet and always a pleasure to support them. They are located in City Kich now, recommend checking them out.

Delicious vegan food! I got the "toona" sandwich and it was fresh and delicious, with a great texture. Generous portions. I live in the University City area, and don't come into uptown Charlotte all that often. I might just change that, because this is worth the trip!

this is simply the BEST soul food I've ever had. too it off that it's fully vegan, though i wouldn't even know it if you didn't tell me. it literally makes me sad to think everyone might not try this because theyre not searching for vegan food but you will regret if you don't come. The ribs and beans could literally put Texas Roadhouse out of business alone and the Philly cheesesteak was the best I've ever had. the chef and owner has a palette to rival bourdain, I will never understand how her potato salad tasted like grandmas deviled eggs but they do, the baked beans will probably be in my dreams for the rest of my life and the corn was perfectly seasonedI wish I could back in time and walk right back in and eat again but alas I was only visiting charlotte. If you live here, do future you a favor and come here now so you get many more years of eating here. please sell your food on gold belly- I would literally order from across the country. THANK YOU!!!!
