The food was hot and came out super fast! They had awesome drink specials for the all-star game. Melvin also treated my friend like a superstar for her birthday!! I'll definitely be back. Such a cute vibe.

This is a review for brunch on Saturday, July 6, 2024. I was in town visiting my family, and I picked this venue to go to Brunch. When we arrived, I liked that the windows were tinted, and you couldn't see inside. When we arrived inside, I informed them that I was there for brunch for a party of 7. I made an rsvp on Eventbrite. We were seated immediately. Our server's name was Dallas. She gave us the brunch menu. The options were limited. There were 5 entrees, 4 appetizers, and some sides. This venue was newly opened a couple of weeks ago and black owned, so we decided to stay. I ordered a prosecco, and it tasted flat, so I switched to a Taste Berry cocktail. The cocktails were delicious, and I had several. The food did take a while to come out, and all the food didn't come out all at once. I ordered the taste chops & potatoes. The lamp chops were well seasoned and tasty. The dish overall was excellent, and I would order it again. Some of the other dishes ordered in my party were the creole style shrimp & grits and the salmon croquettes & grits. They enjoyed the food. The only thing that I informed wasn't great was the waffles that were ordered from the sides menu.There was a DJ, and he really did a great job playing a variety of music. Our Server Dallas was very attentive. I loved the interior of the venue, the floors, the bar area, excellent interior decorating. It was a great vibe, and I had a great time. I plan to visit again in the future while visiting again.

All of the above. Food, Service, and Ambiance It's absolutely amazing. I had my wife's 62nd birthday party, and they laid out the red carpet . The owners were personally involved, and our waitress was fantastic. Everything went as planned. We ordered the hot honey salmon bites, 3 different flavored sliders, beef, chicken & salmon. Wings and to top it off devil eggs top with a fried shrimp. We'll be visiting this place on a weekly basis.

My husband hosted my 62nd birthday gathering at Taste Lounge. This place has an incredible adult vibe with a mellow, mood setting energy. And... that's before you get to the food. Hot honey salmon bites, wings and the best damn shrimp topped deviled eggs I've had in Charlotte... second thought.. the best I've EVER VERY had ANYwhere! From the owner to our hostess we were welcomed from the moment we walked in. IF you're looking for a chill vibe and great food... This is the place. Shout out to Clarence for making my bday special

Visited this lounge to celebrate the birthday of a friend. There were maybe 15 people in our entire reserved group. Upon entering the establishment, the vibe is clean and soulful. We were greeted, seated, and placed our order. Please note, we were required to pay for our food up front. We were advised of the lack of availability of grits and other items on the brunch menu. We did not request those items. We did not order alcohol, so can't speak to that. Others in the group; however did order alcoholic beverages but had no feedback either way. Our water and soft drink was brought to our table within 5 minutes. As we socialized, lagged and took photos, a great deal of time began to pass. After about 50 minutes, we noticed NO ONE had received their food, despite ordering two hours previous. Socializing continued for another 30 minutes or so before people became annoyed and began to question what is happening. We were advised there is one cook. Next, some of us were asked to order other items because they were also out of the salmon croquettes. This request to change orders went on for 39 minutes or so before folks decided to just cancel the order. We waited a bit longer and followed suit and canceled as well. The manager on duty at the time seemed angry at our complaints about service, so we decided it would not be good to done here. After another 20 minutes passed, we were finally refunded our meal. Upon requesting a receipt detailing the transaction, we were told the s was something they had to go and get. So we waited another 10 minutes before I approached and firmly made the request again. We enjoyed being present and supporting our friend for her birthday, but this is not a place I would EVER consider visiting. I originally intended to speak with the manager regarding our experience but after witnessing his argumentative exchange with someone else in our party who questioned the service, I simply decided to post a review. If their service does not CHANGE, they will be closed. In fact, they should close their kitchen u til such time as it is fully staffed. Also, your staff should NOT be smoking hookah at the bar while customers are present. Completely unprofessional.
