My husband and I moved from California a few years ago and had yet to find authentic mexican food until we found this place. The reviews speak for themselves. We ordered Birra Tacos with Consommé Soup, Chicken Quesadillas, Carne Adada Burrito, and a side of beans and rice. Everything was amazing!!! It reminded us of being back home in California. We have tried so many restaurants and nothing compares to the food that is made here. Also the price for everything and the amount of food they give you is worth it! We were able to feed our family of 4 and still had leftovers. I forgot to take a picture but just know that you will not be disappointed. I believe this was a husband and wife team. They were so nice and answered any questions we, (mainly me) had. They are from California too which made me feel even more at home! TY to the owners of the food truck for your wonderful customer service. My husband and I will be back!!!

The Mexican food in Concord is absolutely amazing! Those dishes are unbeatable! I will definitely come back again. Cash only!

The food was fresh and authentic. I love the taste of everything definitely will be coming back. The service was nice and quick. He was nice and friendly and helped me choose what I would like to eat and send a nice area. It's pretty close to my job!! In Parking a parking lot. I definitely do like the way everything is set up about this place. I hope you guys will make more business and keep it going guys. We love it !!! Food is worth the price to be honest !

The BEST birria tacos in Charlotte! $10 for 4 birria tacos with consommé and red/green salsa with lime and radishes. I was so full after getting only halfway through because man, these were heavy, but it was so delicious!! I couldn't help but keep going to finish the whole thing! Also, a tip, get a spoon and get to the bottom of the consommé, there's rice down there! Ordering was so fast and efficient! We ordered at the truck and received our order in like 7-10 mins. They are CASH ONLY. Would definitely return to either get the birria tacos again and/or try their other items!!

I would absolutely recommend this place! I love quesabirria tacos and this is now one of my favorite places to get them. I was in the area and decided to do a Yelp search to find some food. I saw this food truck and decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed! I don't eat beef so they were kind enough to make chicken ones for me. She warned me the soup was hot, and she did not lie! I'm used to it being hot, so I didn't think anything of the warning. But I was shocked when I opened up the cup and it looked like it was boiling lol. I love when my food is hot so that was a big plus. And it was so flavorful! I also liked how they had a area with picnic tables for customers to sit out and eat if they want. The customer service was good and I didn't have to wait long for our order at all. 10/10 would recommend and I can't wait to go back myself to try other things on the menu.

This place is so underrated!! They have the best quesabirrias, i have tried plenty and these by far are the best. They have great food in all. I love them

I got the the torta de asada and it was good. As we know sometimes we have to fight when biting into a torta due to the meat but this one was soft and easy to eat. The horchata on the other hand was thick, very thick maybe they added too much rice in the blender but over all it's good place to eat.

I can't stop thinking about how amazing birria tacos and homemade beans. I'm a loyal customer. They only accept cash!

This place has never failed me yet, I'm a new customer and the couple times I have been has been a 10/10 each time. I always get the steak burrito with everything on and it is amazingggggg. The people who own it are always so nice and welcoming.

After my trip from Cali I was looking for a good spot to get birria from because in California taco trucks and taco restaurants are everywhere. I searched everywhere in Charlotte and found the perfect one (Taqueria El Gavilan) ever since coming here I haven't even searched for another place because of how good this place is. I've been here so many times and I can't believe I haven't even left a review yet but the food is always amazing, always fresh and literally the only spot people should be going to for birria and their food in general. Give it a try!
