Tacos Rick-O

Amazing food!! Yes! Yes! Yes! I love that we got to choose 3 tacos (not pictured), we devoured them. Get the steak, shrimp, and chicken tinga! The fries topped with steak and all sorts of goodness was BOMB! I did try to green thingies and good lawd!!! Spicy!!! I'll stay away from those but if you like spicy, have at it! This food truck was parked at the Charlotte Premium Outlet and it was a perfect dinner option!

I love a good food truck, and if you know me, this was a must-try! With birria tacos being all the rage at the moment, I decided to try something a bit different and opted for the birria pizza. I must say, the pizza was quite filling! The consommé was just okay--perhaps it was the one I had, but I was looking for a bit more flavor. Overall, I would definitely return to try a few other items on their menu.

Their food truck was right at Carolina outlet mall. They have scan to menu. Their menu has lots of options. Got their veggie bowl and Street tacos. Veggie bowl was okay, would have liked some jalapeños and cheese in it. Street tacos were good but my fingers and lips turned yellow, possibly due to turmeric and food color. Overall food was good. 3.5/5 stars .

I went back this time for some nachos. I tried chicken and when I say the flavor was not missed. Taco Rick-o comes to the outlet on Fridays. I came the last hour and was not disappointed.

Okay, I'm a fan. First of all, give me a good food truck and I'm there, but it took me way too long to try this place but only because I'm not a huge fan of Hoppin'. I came for the Oxtail Birria and added the birria consommé, which is a must. I drank that stuff after I was finished dipping and pouring. It also has chickpeas in it so honestly could be eaten as a side bc it's pretty filling with amazing flavor. The oxtail serving was extremely generous and was served on a bed of yellow rice with two pressed cheese tacos with onion and cilantro. For a food truck, the presentation was great! Loved their little flag logo, it adds a nice touch. The kitchen was extremely accommodating because I didn't realize they had the oxtail and changed my order after the fact. I just paid the difference and there was no fuss! Plus I got it right before the sold out. WIN!My partner got a chorizo quesadilla and it was delicious. It was served with some lettuce and pico, and the flavor for immaculate. A little smaller than most quesadillas, so if you come hungry you will want to order additional sides or another dish. I definitely plan on coming back for the birria pizza and some wings. Someone was eating them beside us and they looked bomb. Food came out quick so overall a great experience!

Birria tacos were pretty good. Their dipping sauce was not bad either. I was VERY stuffed after. Definitely worth a try.

Only birria tacos in the city worth a damn! The location is kinda inconvenient but the food is worth it. 10/10

Awesome food truck in the Hoppin' back patio. You have to enter hoppin in order to get to the food truck. It was packed because of the ncaa final four game. The food truck line was long but went by really quick. Once you order, they text you when the food is ready. Only took about 20 minutes which is fast for how many orders they were doing. There is a lot of seating in the patio to eat. I ordered the birria tacos. They were AMAZING!!They were the best birria tacos I've had so far. They were so flavorful and loaded with meat and cheese! You get 3 with a lot of consume to dip them in. I also got a side of plantains and they were really good. They come with a smoky sauce, which I didn't really like but I prefer plantains on their own. The fries were really good too! They were crispy. Overall, everything was amazing and I can't wait to come back and try the wings, quesadillas and bowls!

Man oh man was this an amazing outing. I was craving these tacos and they never seem to disappoint. I would argue that this food truck, located inside of hoppin, has some of the best birria tacos in Charlotte. But it's not just the birria that's so delectable. You can NOT go wrong with their surf and turf tacos. Chefs kiss. With this food truck being located inside of a brewery it really helps with the foot traffic it gets as well as wait times to order. After entering hoppin I walked straight to the truck and was in line behind 4-5 people. I ordered the surf and turf tacos, an order of birria tacos, a chipotle chicken quesadilla, and chips and queso (not all for me). The wait time on the food was a little longer than I have had in the past, but man was it worth the wait. Every time I order from this food truck it leaves me wanting more, in a good way. The portions are large, the staff is personable, and the food is out of this world. 5/5 will absolutely be returning to this food truck!

I'm a little concerned for the security of their Square account - I got a 123.89 charge on 1/19/2025 when I've never even bought from this truck. Do you all have a rogue employee with your account details that also works at the Sea Life aquarium at the Concord Mills Mall? Or maybe Concord Mills Burger King?
