So my mum and I had a craving for Mexican and this is the only place we go to in Hickory for AUTHENTIC. You won't see chimichangas and margaritas on the menu as one Yelp reviewer said but lady you can you to one of those sub-par Mexican restaurants in Hickory. There's tons of them. Also for the one reviewer that went on an animal lover rant like hey Mexicans are big on taxidermy so get over it.ANYWAYS back to the food. I wasn't necessarily hungry but ordered a carne asada guarache with the queso fresco. I also ordered the guarache to be extra crispy aka keep that thing in the fryer for longer. OH MY GOODNESS on the first bite I was on Mexican cloud 9. I don't remember eating anything so tasty in a very long time. The guarache was perfectly crisp and the meat was oh so flavorful. I seriously wanted another one! My body said yes but the button on my pants said no. I wanted to eat some of the barbacoa (mexican bbq) and consome that they're known for making on the weekends but looks like I'll have to come back again. Word on the street is that it's REALLY GOOD. Gives me an excuse to come back! Woo!

1. You need to have an understanding of the Spanish language before going in2. You need to have respect for it. I've never been so blown away with EVERYTHING in there. This is authentic. This is the real deal! You don't find this in hickory and hickory is luck to have this glorious place. I highly encourage everyone to try here once and push outside your boundaries because it will rock your world! This will be forever be my go to place in hickory now. I cannot say enough about them!

The best Mexican taqueria, everything taste fresh and authentic.Try chorizo,pastor, cabeza etc..I have tried everything Tortas, Huaraches, Gorditas, flautas, burritos and they have lamb barbacoa, pancita on saturdays and sundays with hand made tortillas, I think only on Sunday's (the tortillas).

This place is incredible. I had the green mole and was blown away by it, as it had all the complexity and flavor that I would have expected from such a dish. The chips and salsa were also solid. There is a bit of a challenge in getting around if you don't speak some Spanish. Also, I had a bit of a difficulty with using my coupon from the Attractions book, as they claimed it was "wrong". Either way, what a great place to eat!

We have eaten here since the very first day they were opened. Have tried a lot of different menu items and have never been disappointed. Service is always exceptional. Food is always fresh and hot. A nice change from the chain Mexican Resturants.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. Great Service. Great prices. Highly recommended. I ordered a salad but my friends ordered other dishes that were excellent.

BEWARE! The prices on the menu provided in the photos are not accurate. I was taken aback when I thought I was ordering at one price, only to find it was five dollars more upon arrival.

Great authentic Mexican food. Service is great and absolutely no complaints. If you want vegetarian Mexican, just get beans and rice or eat some grass.

Went to this restaurant without looking at the ratings and reviews, which was a big mistake, and was met with bad food and terrible service. First time I ever didn't eat food at a restaurant
