(3.5 stars)"Overpaying at Stock + Grain" is getting ready to join death and taxes among life's certainties. Thus, the operative question shouldn't be "Is the food overpriced?" but rather "Is the food good enough for me to not mind?" In the case of Taco Street, the food hall's newest tenant, the answer, so far, seems to be "Maybe."Positives first: the menu here is commendably huge, and it boasts a few things not easily found elsewhere. As befits the name, you can get tacos with a variety of toppings: everything from pastor/fish/steak/chicken/birria to chicharrons, squash, or Hawaiian BBQ. If tacos don't scratch your itch, there are also pastelitos, "drowned" taquitos, and pambazo sandwiches. On variety alone, Taco Street is winning.I ordered a pair of tacos - one pastor and one mango fish - to go. At $4.50 each, they were (surprise) no value, but they were prepared quickly and delivered in the flavor department. The pastor especially was spicier than expected and very tasty. The mango fish was more subdued. Though not a disappointment, I don't know that I'd get it again. While High Point has an abundance of Mexican eateries, few have the street food emphasis that Taco Street does. That makes it worth investigating. Your taste buds will likely be happy even if your wallet will not.

Visited for their grand opening and was not disappointed! Delicious food and great service! I liked the spin on the calabacitas, using summer squash rather than corn. The quesabirria was delicious too! So much meat inside and freshly made! Set in the Stock and Grain food hall so there are other options nearby to make sure everyone your party gets exactly what they want to eat. We had a pizza from next door as well!

We ordered a birria fry here as part of a shared food court variety lunch. The fries were huge and had plenty of meat on them. They were a perfect combo of crispy and soaked. Overall, absolutely delicious and a huge portion.

Food was good, service was good just a little slow. Tables were clean and a good atmosphere.

Your next Taco Tuesday is right around the corner and Stock & Grain now has Taco Street! I ordered the shrimp taco, fish taco and a churro! All very tasty. The churro come warm and two stick with chocolate dip. Absolutely delicious. I have to try something else next Tuesday. They were out of guacamole but I definitely want to that next.

Just something to be aware of: if they close at 7:00pm they stop taking to go orders by (at least) 06:37pm. I went there tonight and tried order at that time and they said they were no longer accepting orders... and that's on a Rocker's game night when foot traffic is heavier. Just something to keep in mind if trying to get some dinner!

Overpriced. Small servings. Must pay extra for chips. The actual food did not match photos. Disappointed.

I ordered a bowl. Rice, steak, queso cheese, pico. Basic ingredients. I don't like raw onions so I asked to substitute salsa for the pico. The girl at the register had to go ask and there was a big discussion at the window before finally being told. Ok, we will do that. I would hate to put you out. The queso cheese was a block of fried cheese. Think cold mozzarella stick with no breading. The salsa they gave me was literally about 2 tablespoons and the steak was cut only part of the way so I was left with a plastic butter knife to try and cut 1 large chunk of very tough meat with an extremely dry meal. Basically no salsa and the cheese was the consistency of a block of tofu and wasn't even warm. When you advertise queso cheese at a Mexican restaurant, am the only one that assumes it's warm melted cheese. My friend got the bowl with chicken and again, a drizzle of any sauce and very dry with all the rice. Stock and Grain is an awesome place and I have eaten at other restaurants there and good food but Taco Street was no where near a meal I enjoyed. Certainly not worth the cost and you can't order water. Bottled or tap and only full sugar beverages. No diet selection. Ended up going to another restaurant to purchase water.
