Sweet Carolines

Finally got in here! It's been in my YELP! bucket list for years. We went after an afternoon of Christmas shopping in downtown York (Shop Local!!). Only a 10 minute ride down 321. The service was great!I got the Carolina Burger with fries and onion rings. My wife got the burnt ends with fries. We split a piece of pecan pie and took home a piece of the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Themed Cheesecake. It was all amazing!! Cannot wait to get back. Highly Recommend.

A decent local eatery. Sides were kinda okay with generous portions,but none were great and we had great expectations for the whole fried Okra that was tough, luke warm and no crunch coating. Potato salad is heavy mustard based, mac and cheese was right up there with the blah boxed version. Some nights have prime rib, not the best but nice flavor and slightly over cooked. BBQ was good and the three sauces were okay. Service was great, luckily loved by locals at this establishment in a barn.

Great food! The brisket was fork-tender! Friendly service! Delicious banana pudding! I enjoyed the live music and the bartender even made me a nice expresso martini!

Service was terrible for a Saturday. Like only two servers. Waited 15 mins for ranch for dipping sauce.

We have lived in the area for 81/6 years and tried this restaurant for the first time on July 4th . I had read the reviews and since we were in the area stopped in. I realized immediately it must be good because at 1:00 it was a full house! I had the pulled pork and it was tender and not dry at all. Delicious. The side of fried squash was a real treat. My husband had the burnt ends and they were WOW. Literally fell apart with tenderness and the flavor was so good. Hush puppies with the honey butter were excellent. For what we had it was very inexpensive! Everyone working there was very friendly We will be back

Prime Rib on Thursday and Saturday, ONLY! oH mY! Melts in your mouth good. This is BEST I ever tasted in 50 years!

We always stop here on our mototrips. Great place to eat and drink. All clean, staff polite and very friendly.

I don't know if we came here on an off day, or if this just isn't our cup of tea... No offense, we didn't get the hype around this place.. The green beans seemed to be out of can, the mac and cheese wasn't great. The meats were just so so, and nothing special. We didn't order any desserts, but the service was great! The place was busy, so obviously people love it here. We did drive out here just to try it as we have heard so many good things about it from several people. Again, take my review however you want - again, this place just isn't our style of BBQ (we have other local favorites that we prefer). Give it a try and make your own opinion of it! (For us, it just feels that it is a local staple that people maybe grew up with and love it for nostalgic reasons - we all have places like that!)

My sis and I visited here on 7/26/24 just prior to evening crowd. Food here is great. They have hamburgers, salads, and fish. Lots of sweet items. Plenty of sides to choose from. Service was very friendly, kept tea filled without asking. Clean environment, interesting decor. Plan on visiting again but eat less entree so we can try dessert.

We have had mixed experiences in this restaurant. The brisket was bland and dry on our last visit. The pork was good though.
