Sweet Boutique Bakery

I am not from Charlotte and decided to try this bakery. I stumbled on this location online and liked the images viewed. I had the opportunity to order my cake months in advance. Below are some helpful tips to help you determine if this is the bakery that you would like to try:There is an online payment system available, which makes it easy. The prices are higher than your typical bakery, at least three times higher. Despite the prices being higher, they do not deliver.The cake topper broke that was on my cake for my milestone birthday. This was not a good experience. The cake did not look as desired for my photos.The cake was not moist but dry. It had a great deal of flavor of the vanilla, but was not the tastiest cake that I have tried to Charlotte so far. I am not sure how long is sitting in the refrigerator prior to pick up and when it was made or how it was stored, but I have a problem with that. Out of 15 guests not one person like the cake. I found it a bit embarrassing as the host.Hours of operation for pick up are limited. Good luck!

We ordered a custom mushroom cake. Thank you so much for the beautiful cake! Everyone agrees that the cake is outstanding and special. Very detailed! So pretty that you feel bad about cutting it. :-) I'm sure it's going to be so memorable for the birthday girl. We got the vanilla flavor cake and it is tasty. Thank you, Sweet Boutique Bakery!

Earlier this year I changed my diet after finding out I was intolerant to dairy, soy and gluten and it made a huge difference in quality of life. But that doesn't change my inexplicable love of cake. Cue the need for a custom cake for work and so I went to Yelp first looking for vegan gluten free cake and didn't have much luck. So I went to the Googly machine and found Sweet Boutique! Debbie saved my life. She bakes beautiful cakes and cupcakes (regular, wedding cakes and my hippy dippy specialty cakes) out of her nice home in South Charlotte so don't just show up on her porch for an after dinner slice. :) She does beautiful or custom art - I sent her my logo and she cut it out of surprisingly delicious edible fondant but she does sugar art too.We got a double chocolate vegan gluten free cake because my coworker also doesn't usually get to enjoy sweet treats. It was so dark it was almost black but the taste was incredible. It reminded me of brownie batter and my husband absolutely refused to believe it was either vegan or gluten free because the cake was so mouthwatering good without having the grittiness some GF cakes have. I don't know what she uses but it's magic. I will be ordering a GF Caramel cake for my birthday and likely will come back for any baby showers. I bet her regular ones and wedding cakes are phenomenal!

I purchased my six-year-old granddaughter's birthday cake from Debbie and thought seriously about keeping it for myself. Not only was it gorgeous, but it was absolutely delicious. I have recommended her to all of my friends and family members and hope that someone will take the hint and surprise me with a Sweet Boutique Bakery cake for my upcoming birthday.

For my daughters "going away" party for college, the cake and cupcakes are a hit! Everyone loves them! I will definitely use Sweet Boutique Bakery again. Debbie was so nice and professional. Having an allergy to wheat, barley and rye, I had given up on having sweet treats. What a treat. My daughter is a vegan. Gluten free and vegan wow! Debbie is talented, delicious!

Debbie did a fantastic job making our little boy's smash cake! It was VERY well done and made for some super cute photos!

Ordered a chocolate vegan cake and it was delicious! Everyone thought it was amazing! We have friends who are vegan and friends who are gluten free so it is great to find someone who makes delicious cakes for everyone! Can't wait to try the next one!

I highly recommend Sweet Boutique Bakery for all of your bakery needs!! I have ordered cakes twice now for birthday parties and they have turned out beautiful and delicious. Everyone commented on both at the party! Not only are they beyond beautiful and tasty, but my daughter is allergic to dairy and she is able to accommodate that! Win win!
