Sunshine House

Our son has been at the Sunshine house for almost 2 years. He absolutely loves it and so do we. The teachers are awesome and genuinely care about the kids. They're organized and do a great job of keeping us informed if anything happens. I really enjoy the app and being able to see what he ate, when he napped and all of his diaper changes. Our first daycare was horrible so it has been a relief finding a place I can trust. They provide diapers, wipes and all meals/snacks which takes a lot off my plate. They were by far the best deal price wise in the area and when we toured the place, every parent we ran in to told us how much they loved the place. That sold me right there. Another thing I appreciate is that they don't close for as many holidays as our old daycare. There is actually one holiday I have off and they are open. That's my favorite day of the year. :)

I ultimately reported them to the state and withdrew my son as an effort to force them to do a better job. From Me to The State RepThank you for your time this morning. Below is the correspondence with myself and the Sunsine house Director Kristen, as well as the pictures from the last incident. I have included the picture from his back which we noticed later that same night but was not included with the pictures I original set to Sunshine House. This is to inform you that the way my son return home yesterday was unacceptable and with no answers to what happened is total unacceptable. Liam has been in your care less than 6 months and we have already had 5 of these incidents with yesterday being the worst but yet no one knows anything. That can only mean that children are not being properly watched. My sons is younger than 2 years old and his face and neck looks like he was mauled. I want and explanation today of what occurred yesterday and how come no one saw anything what was the staff doing? I was at the Concord school on Friday and I continued my investigation. Why I may not have the answer as to how Liam's face was scratched, I can assure you that the inadequate supervision that happened last week should not happen again. I have addressed the situation with all staff members involved and our company has taken steps with everyone according to our schools disciplinary policy. I have put several procedures and policies in place to ensure proper supervision of all children in our care. Going forward I will be working with the management team to hold everyone accountable for interacting and monitoring the children at all times especially while on the playground. I appreciate the trust you have put in the Sunshine House to care for your son, caring for the children at our schools is a responsibility I take very seriously. The multiple incidents in the past 5 and half months has been enough to sake our confidence in the staff of Sunshine house to provide adequate child care. Also from the lack of findings it sounds like the Sunshine house facilities do not have monitoring systems review. Unfortunately Liam will not be returning to Sunshine house.Thanks
