Sunshine Family Restaurant

Sunshine is a good, unassuming spot to grab breakfast or lunch. The menu has all of the standard breakfast items and a few that aren't so standard including a few that are Mexican inspired. The server we had was as sweet as sugar and did a fantastic job and was quite attentive. I had a Mexican omelette along with grits and a biscuit. The biscuit was the standout for that trio. Warn, flaky and just delicious. We will definitely be back.

Stopped in for a late breakfast after an early morning flight from Arkansas into Charlotte and I wanted to get out of Charlotte traffic before stopping! Found this great little diner. As soon as I waked in the door I was met with a welcoming smiling server who made me feel very welcome. She did a great job taking care of me. From getting me seated all the way through to offering me a to go cut for my drink when I was leaving. The diner is decorated with lots of cute, little signs and quotes that make it feel quite homely. They have a sign with their Daily Specials with lots of good choices. I have to say everything appeared to be very clean and tables were bussed and cleared off very quickly after diners left following their meals.When it comes to the food. I have to say, it was pretty darn good. Everything was fresh, tasty, good size portions and cooked perfectly. If I am ever back in the area I will certainly stop in here again!

this place is so nice, the works are literally so sweet and lovely. Fast service and barely a wait when it's packed.Food is good I get the same each time, but it's still amazing.

I had an overall great experience at this restaurant. I ordered the Patty Melt with Onion Rings. My order was fresh, fast and delicious. Everyone in there was friendly and welcoming. The prices were reasonable also. Plus they serve breakfast all day. They have a second location in Kannapolis. Great local restaurant.

This hidden gem has been under our nose for 17 years and we finally made our way there. Its exterior and even interior is not flashy. It's just a diner (clean) that serves straight forward food. Although I will say we saw some other breakfasts items pass our table that were very pretty. Crepes with fruit. And a steak omelet that could have fed a family of four. But we just got basics today and they were very good. I took one star away because my eggs were just okay. Not bad at all. I just have perfected fully cooked, fluff eggs at home and expect a place that serves breakfast to be able to create the same. But the pancakes, French toast and biscuit were all very yummy. Our waitress was excellent and friendly AND she kept our drinks filled!

Typically, I am very understanding of customer service factors. Especially, during the holidays. However, my husband and I went to this establishment on today for breakfast. They were busy and we waited to be seated (which is fine). We were seated about 15-20 minutes after we arrived. Our waitress (Jenny) came to our table about 5-7 minutes after we were seated. She took our drink and food order. This would be the last time we saw her. After 35-45 minutes, we had not received our food. Other customers that came in after us had received their food and some had eaten and left. I inquired at the register concerning our food because the waitress was MIA (missing in action). After I asked about our food, the food was brought to our table...... COLD!!! I immediately asked for the manager. I Informed them that the server had not been to our table but one time and why was our food cold. Really no logical explanation. I informed them that I was very unhappy with the service and would let others know of my experience. We left without eating. The waitress returned to the table and just seemed as if she didn't care. Very poor customer service. She does not need to be in the service business.

We enjoyed Sunday breakfast here for the first time. We went during a busy time but everyone was on point and we barely had a 10 minute wait. It was a typical diner feel but the service beat out most of the local places we have been to. We both happened to order the exact same thing down to rye toast and hashbrowns on the side. It's a typical order for me but I was glad for this plate cause it came with extra meats. It comes with bacon, country ham, and smoked sausage. Everything was prepared well- it could have used salt but I understand not over salting breakfast foods because of the meats and it's easily added to food. We each got multiple refills on coffee and were even offered some to go. I can't even say it's what you'd expect because although the food was, the service was made it better.

I've only been for breakfast- twice but will definitely return for lunch soon! I had an omelette the first time and biscuits & gravy- delish! Then I had a breakfast burrito- so good it's Family owned & conveniently located across from the gym for your post workout protein

Waitress was extremely helpful and friendly with an awesome attitude!!Food was very good, hot and on point!!!Will definitely return!!

Extremely over hyped and over priced. Couldn't even get any of our food prepared properly. The worst thing is, I usually say, "it's hard to screw up breakfast" but that's not the case for this place.
