Sunrise Grill

Good breakfast. Waitress was super friendly and attentive. Only four stars because the bathroom needed some attention.

Our family loves the Sunrise Grill. The food and service are always consistently delicious. Today I tried the Sunrise omelette, sausage, bacon, ham, onion, cheese, and tomato. It was good, but I prefer their veggie omelette add sausage. Pumpkin waffles are seasonal and a must try. My 5 year old really enjoyed the pancake and entertaining the other diners around us. I love our little country community and this diner.

Friendly staff, great for family breakfasts, loud screaming kids included. Menus are at the table albeit hidden behind the napkin dispenser. I suggest using hand sanitizer after handling. They only serve breakfast... close at 11:00 am. You'd think they have it down a little better. 2 eggs over medium with a sausage patty, hash browns and a biscuit... the eggs were closer to very easy.. loose almost too loose. The sausage patty was more like eating flavored leather and the biscuit is served with "liquid" margarine in a squirt bottle... yum.

If more stars were available to give, I would certainly give them. The breakfast food choices are many, the flavor is wonderful and the staff is very friendly. We rarely have to wait, but if we do, it's generally not long. They move the people in and out in a timely manner but don't ever lose that southern hospitality. Sunrise Grill is a local favorite, hence the line sometimes, but they have the best breakfast around!

Just not very good food. Or a nice, clean environment. Very friendly and hospitable though and fast service. Just not my cup of tea.

If your ever going down highway 24/27 east and want a really good breakfast, then when you get to Locust, N.C. you must stop at the Sunrise Grill.This a local joint where everyone knows each other and the servers know the regulars by name.On our last stop wife got the pumpkin waffle and grits and I got a 1/2 country ham plate. Don't let the 1/2 scare you thinking you won't get enough food because you will leaved stuffed. A good sized portion of country ham with 1 or 2 eggs and your choice of grits, hash browns, home fries or rice and gravy. I love country ham and here it's tender and not to salty as some can be.Service is always good and our coffee cups always stayed full.All servers are friendly and circulate from table to table, and we were checked on often.My wife and I really don't understand the bad reviews. We have never had a problem with bad food, poor service or poor cleanliness as reported by some reviews. The only unfriendly person we have ever encountered here was the young thang working the cash register on our last visit.They are crowded for a reason and some times you have to wait on a parking space and its not because of bad food, poor service or poor cleanliness. Take out window generally has a line as well.Come early as they are only open till 11 am. They do take debit and credit cards.For $16 including drinks, tax and tip we left stuffed and happy.If we lived in the area,they would know us by name as well because we would become regulars here.

Great breakfast place. Service is fantastic and order is always right too! Atmosphere and prices are is reasonable.

Good ole southern home-cooking! Love the staff, coffee, and omelets! If you're looking for a quaint breakfast where everyone knows each other - this is your place!
