Sunrise Grill

Great Service and great breakfast. I took my Wife,brother in law, and father in law here and everyone raved. Highly recommend.

This place got me through the pandemic. Sunrise Grill (formerly known as Donut Dinette for years) has the best omelettes I'm aware of in the state. I always get the sunrise omelette with jalapeños added, and it has the perfect amount of cheese and spice. When I was able to work remotely in Albemarle, I would venture here often for takeout or the lunch hour and it always hit the spot.I know the place has stopped selling doughnuts, which is a shame since that was the whole deal was getting a donut with your breakfast, but I have still ventured to a pastry-less Sunrise Grill twice since they've done the name change. It's an Albemarle institution, and the crowds lining out the door speaks for itself

My first visit today , referred by a friend , after a 3 egg omelet with bacon , best grits ever and one 12 inch pancake I called my friend and offered to buy her a car. This is one of the best breakfast places I ever raised a fork in. Plus the staff was extremely nice and asked about me and where from Ect. Remember the name of the place and don't leave without taking a few to the office or home for late night snack , if your near here between 5 am and 11 am check it out you will not regret it !

My omelette was very, very good. It was the sunrise omelette with grits and toast! Service was great as well. Had not been there in a while but sure glad it was today!

Exceptional service! The wait staff we're all very welcoming and attentive. I unknowingly arrived right before they closed and they took my order and served me a great breakfast. Will definitely be eating here again!

Waitress was awful, said she has worked there for a few years, never even smiled, I asked about history of place, i knew was old, said she didn't know anything, sad. Food was ok, nothing special, we really came for the donuts, I had told my grandkids I had gone there as a kid, myself. Not the same, very disappointing,

EXCELLENT food, AMAZING service and WONDERFUL people. We are new to the area and are trying out different local places. We loved it and look forward to coming back again soon.

The customer service is awful in this place, people were sited ahead of people already waiting. If stuff was left on the table with you paying they would throw it away without asking if you needed or wanted it. The food was good is the reason for the one. But customer service also goes a long way
