Good food good service. Small parking lot. Highly recommend this place for breakfast. Large portions. Plenty of seating for large crowds.

Haven't been here in years after being disappointed with the salmon cakes. On this visit I had flounder with eggs, hash browns and toast, which was so much food and so filling I didn't eat anything the rest of the day. Definitely will be returning soon.

This is a restaurant that reminds me of a true southern spot with locals and a diverse crowd. They have breakfast and lunch menu and they gave us both when we went around noon. Staff were great.

The best food I've had in Charlotte so far! I just moved here recently and this place is my new favorite! The service was amazing! I wish I could remember our servers name because she was a gem! We tipped 80%! I had the country fried chicken with hash browns and scrambled eggs with cheese.. DELICIOUS! The chicken was so tender and juicy. The seasoning on the skin was so much better than what I've had back home in Texas. It had a beautiful flavor and spice. The eggs and hash browns were prepared just right! I wanted to try the french toast so I subbed my side of toast for a single piece of French toast, it was spot on! They use Texas toast. I also had the apple sticks and oh my goodness they are AMAZING! I'd go back for those alone. Everything is so decently priced also. You get so much for your money. The whole meal and staff were amazing and I will absolutely be back to try more!

Great food. If you're looking for a true southern breakfast with fried perch, pork chop or ribeye with grits and eggs this is your go to place! They have so many options! Including fried bolognaEvery time we visit the service is always amazing and we love supporting local businesses.And I hate to do this but....... My only gripe, they will sometimes close early. After leaving the area and moving closer to uptown, we drove all the way over here one day to get a late breakfast and they wouldn't seat us even though they were open for another 30 minutes. We were always regulars there that tipped well. Since that day... we have not been back based on that last visit. We were.... dissapointed to say the least. I hope they will continue to stay open for the hours that are listed on their doors.

YES YES AND YES!!!!Everything was excellent!!!!!Service and Food!!!!!!Scrambled eggs n cheese delicious cheese and scrambled perfect!Corn Beef Hash cooked Perfectly!! Grits WERE THE BOMB!Rye Toast was perfectly buttered and very fresh.Sweet Tea was Yummy!Fried Flounder was perfectly seasoned and fried!!We went here on a Friday at 12 and this place was jumping, VERY BUSY!!! Waited about 30 minutes BUT VERY WORTH THE WAIT!!!!THIS MUST BUT THIS ON THE BUCKET LIST for Breakfast! But they do have a full lunch and dinner menu also.

I love this place! Rehabbing from a hip replacement. I'm looking for ways to walk more. So me and girlfriend Penelope (dog) enjoy walking there for the tasty breakfast. I get it to go and they have a nice little seating area where I keep P while I wait for my order and rest before the walk back. My order is a 3 egg veggie omelette. And crispy bacon. I don't always want the bread or potatoes and they are great at accommodating me. It constantly good. Always busy but the staff is great. They remember me and will often bring me the order outside to me. It's small GEM but turn tables quickly!

The food was delicious--especially the grits! The owners are a warm & friendly couple.

Good ole reliable!I've never had a bad meal from here. The customer service is A1. It makes me feel like I'm home. Food made with love. My favorite is the whiting breakfast plate. Fish taste like I made it (that's saying ALOT, believe me ).Great prices too.
