Sun Ming Chinese Restaurant

My family loves to road trip. But when we stop for food, we cannot just stop for burgers or chicken fingers. Absolutely not. We always stop for Chinese. This was an absolute smash out of the park stop on our way from Chicago to Hilton Head. The food was AMAZING. Some of our favorites were the sesame chicken, fish filet in hot pot, teriyaki skewer appetizer, egg rolls and mapo tofu. All absolutely delicious! After we wrapped up our leftovers, the owner came over with balloon animals for the kids. What??? As I said, smash out of the park home run for this road trip stop. Thanks for a delicious meal!

Enjoyed the dim sum, especially the variety of dumplings they were flavorful and had a nice, thin wrapper. The pork siu mai was juicy and packed with great seasoning. The only downside was that some items felt a bit greasy. Service was quick and efficient. The restaurant had a casual and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a weekend brunch.

Great food, good quality! Extensive menu to choose from. Would recommend for sure!!!!

I hate seeing a restaurant in decline, especially one that I've done business with for a lot of years. Unfortunately it appears that is happening at Sun Ming. Twice I've had to go back after picking up an order for take-out for missing items (I know, check your order...but this place was always dependable) This time the food was almost flavorless, especially the Hot and Sour Soup. We also bought Shrimp Fried Rice. There were only 8 very small shrimp and not as much rice as usual. At least the rice was somewhat hot, can't say the same for the soup that needed to be microwaved.Overall very disappointing. Sun Ming is no longer my favorite and that is a shame.

This is my go to for Chinese food here in Irmo/Lexington. The food is always hot and fresh, and everything is delicious. I always get the shrimp fried rice and the egg rolls as a standard order. Definitely a place I consistently order from when I am in the mood for Schezuan food.

Just finished eating lunch here. This was one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in a long time. The service was attentive and pleasant. The inside was so cute to me. Also, a variety of vegan options if that matters to you.

Moved to Columbia from Ohio almost a year ago and finally found a Chinese restaurant I love!! Very friendly staff (King was our server) Huge portions, delicious fresh veggies & their chicken fried rice is delicious!! Super clean restaurant with unique ambiance. Definitely recommend!

UNSEASONED!My friends and I went here last night to grab a bite. I didn't do my due diligence and believe the reviews I read. I came out on my own free will and regretted it!So, I ordered the spicy beef in a pot. It came out looking delicious but oily! You could see the scallions and peppers and I just knew this was going to be delicious. NOPE! Why did it taste floral? Like I can't even describe the taste. Just awful.I should've known better when my strawberry daiquiri came out looking real light skin! Like very pink and not red! But trying to be optimistic and look at where it got me, Tuh!My friend ordered egg drop soup and it legit looked like they put egg whites in water! She had to add salt and pepper. Again, no flavor! The other two friends seemed to enjoy their dishes. But not I.After returning my dish and paying $30 for an inedible dish and some veggie springs rolls (and you guessed it, UNSEASONED) and a very mid daiquiri (and that's being nice), it's very safe to say I will never return here. It isn't worth the drive, nor my money!Restaurant looks nice. Service was cool!

We had an early dinner and ordered jasmine tea. Upon the third cup a boiled cockroach poured out of the tea pot. I took the kettle a d cup to the hostess. The waitress claimed she was not told anything. I explained what it was and she was indignant about it. It was as business as usual. I heard negative reviews but never experienced anything remotely like this.

The food is always good. The hot and sour soup is my favorite. The service is fast and the restaurant has a calming atmosphere.
