This place is still one of my top three coffee shops in Charlotte. The menu still offers a lot of delicious food, desserts and coffee options. The vibe is amazing, the service is great and the location is perfect. My favorite drink is still the Dulce de Leche latte.100% recommended.

I recently visited Sumaq Coffee in South Charlotte after seeing it listed on Axios Charlotte's IG as one of the top 10 coffee shops for remote work, and I can see why it made the cut. I stopped by on a Thursday mid-morning, and the space was pleasantly quiet, with only about six people--perfect for getting some focused work done without distractions. The ambiance is beautifully curated with both indoor and outdoor seating. It's spacious enough that you won't feel crammed next to anyone, which I really appreciated. There's a nice mix of seating, including high-tops, couches, and benches, so you can easily find a spot that fits your vibe.I ordered a dirty chai latte, which was solid, but the prosciutto flatbread missed the mark--it was way too salty, and I couldn't finish it. On the other hand, my friend had one of their wraps and enjoyed it, so it might just be that I picked the wrong thing.Service was friendly and efficient, adding to the positive experience. However, parking could be a bit of a hassle since there isn't much of a lot, meaning you'll likely need to find street parking nearby. On the plus side, the space offers great natural light and good backgrounds for video calls--perfect if you're looking to jump on a Zoom meeting.Overall, Sumaq Coffee is a great choice if you're looking for a quieter, less buzzy spot to work. I'll definitely return--just probably won't order the flatbread again.

Great experiences there. Bright and airy feel. Poppin' with people. My only complaint was it was cold in there which made it harder to work. Food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend

This place....they just make me so happy! This trip I tried the strawberry matcha at the recommendation of my super cool homegirl. She's raved about it for a while so I couldn't wait to try it and it did not disappoint. I think about this particular drink regularl lol. It was so soooooo good! The strawberry in the matcha was so refreshing and a nice flavor variation from the matcha which was also delicious! This drink was the star of the show for sure.I also ordered the chicken sandwish and was thoroughly impressed by how great it was. The bread was soft and the sandwich itself packed a huge flavor punch. Super pleasantly surprised!!! Eating the nutella muffin at home was the cherry on top though. It was actual eprfection and I didn't even heat it up! It was massive and so damn good. Truly. Can't wait to go back and probably order the same exact things lol.

Sumaq has consistently delicious food and drink selections. Their coffee and matcha are equally good, but as far as food, the wasi house sandwich outranks everything else. The empanadas are also yummy. There's plenty of seating, and the atmosphere is bright and modern.

Life is too short for boring coffee. The Sumaq latte with oat milk was refreshing. The space is very inviting and warm. Service was a little slow but tolerable when you are getting good food. They have small bites and pastry's. Parking is in the back, but the place can get busy. Would definitely add to my "remote working list"

Sumaq is a little gem in an unexpected area of south Blvd. South American style food and desserts and an array of amazing coffee and tea drinks. Loved the outdoor patio with great chairs and heaters and spaces to sit and enjoy the food and chat. They also have ample parking which was nice . Inside is equally nice with the significant tree in the center. There is a meaning behind this I'm sure as I've seen it at other South American coffee shops too. Great open space with people WFH and others just enjoying their coffee . The service was standard and quick . All the sandwiches and wraps are made to order. We tried the wallpa quad, which is chicken, egg, lettuce, tomato and special house mayo . Wrapped in a thin wrap. Very tasty and filling! Loved the combination and the spices from the sauce. Also tried the cappuccino which was a lovely cup of strong coffee and pretty . We also had a mocha chino which was nice and creamy and nice cocoa flavor. Our sweet treats were the lemon tart which came on this fabulous crumbly shortbread with lovely lemon curd type cream on top with some whipped cream . This was just delicious and not over sweet. The Alfajores was also amazing. Shortbread that just melts in your mouth with a nice layer of dulce de leche in the middle and powdered sugar on top. Yum. The savory and the sweet were all really good and you can tell made in house. All their other sweet baked good looked awesome. So I definitely wanna go back to try that tres leche! Loved this lovely well run place. You can never love too many coffee shops !

After waiting for almost 35 minutes for a tomato soup and grilled cheese, this is what I got. The tomato soup was not even full, and when I went back in to ask if this was the true portion size, they said yes it's a small bowl, and there's no more soup. I got there three hours after opening and the fact that there was no more soup at 11 in the morning is insane. So they basically gave me the scraping from the bottom of the pot, which I can confirm as my soup was full of burnt pieces, and the grilled cheese was not cooked thoroughly. The cheese was still a bit raw. Don't waste your time coming here.

We got two cappuccinos, the egg salad sandwich, and a chicken empanada. Cappuccino- I thought it was decent. Had a burned taste to it, not well extracted. My wife liked it. I'd give it 2/5, she rated it 4/5. There are far better places to get coffee. Empanada- Decent. It was edible but would not order again. Egg salad sandwich- highlight of our meal. Well toasted croissant, flavorful sandwich. Would probably order again. Very nice ambiance. Lots of large tables. Seems like a good place to work. It was fairly crowded on a Saturday morning. Overall, while we are in no rush to come back, it would be a shop we would visit again if we were nearby. It's at least worth stopping by once.
