Sugar Rush Crumb Cakes

It's really hard to believe I have been enjoying Charlotte Sugar Rush for 3 years now. I had never had crumb cake before, but there is no looking back as I have loved every flavor!My personal favorites:*Cookie Butter*Chocolate Reese's and Vanilla Reese's - my husband and I cannot decide which we like better! Both are amazing, especially warmed up to melt that peanut butter and chocolate.*Cookie Dough - collab with Honeybear Bakeshop *Strawberry - serve with fresh strawberries, oh my goodness!*Red Velvet OreoShannon is easy to work with and schedule a pickup. Highly recommend, even with the drive from Charlotte!

Truly delectable crumb cakes. Crunchy outside, soft inside, and extremely satisfying for any sweet tooth! The service is fantastic because Shannon (the baker/business owner) is extremely attentive to answering questions via text, call, email, Instagram (charlottesugarrush), etc.There isn't an ambiance to speak of since she makes these at home and the customer picks it up, however the presentation is beautiful and she gave me candles and a happy birthday cake decorator for free!It's a bit pricey, but I feel that's common for small business owners and supporting local goods, but if you're anywhere near Waxhaw on any given day, it is worth picking one up!

I've had her crumb cakes for several years now and they're absolutely delicious. They're moist and flavorful and I haven't had anything like them before.

I was first brought one of these delicious cakes from my realtor for Christmas!! It was so delicious! The cake is so moist and the topping is so crumbly and yummy! I'll definitely be a repeat customer from now on.. The owner is so sweet and the customer service is awesome!

I'm not a big cake person, but let me tell you that this is no ordinary cake. I recently won a giveaway for two crumb cakes and picked the cinnamon and birthday cake flavors. Previously I've tried the classic and pumpkin spice. Crumb Cake is all she does and it's all she needs to do because it's fantastic. The cinnamon and classic are my favorite flavors. The amount of crumb topping makes it so delicious.She also has strawberry (seasonal through labor day), cookies and cream, and lemon, but I haven't tried those. I was skeptical that I would like this before trying it, but now it's one of my favorite desserts. Text her to place your order. $15 for an 8x8 cake. This review CANNOT wait. If there were PLUS stars available, I would be adding for a 5+++ rating! I stumbled upon Sugar Rush on Instagram about 2 months ago. Ever since, I've been dreaming of trying one of these cakes. I saw that January was the cookie butter flavor. A January baby - I decided to get this as a birthday indulgence. The order form was very simple and Shannon got back to me not long after submitting (certainly within the 48 hr window) Confirming and paying for the order was easy peasy. I was offered quite a few pick-up time options and appreciated the flexibility. My husband picked up the cake this morning. I was hoping it'd taste as good as it looks! If you're wondering yourself, the answer is...it tastes even better! I intermitten fast and usually don't eat until late afternoon, but this was BREAK-fast worthy. In fact, I had a slice for breakfast and another slice for lunch. The cake itself is moist and beyond delicious. The crumb - heaven. Everything is balanced, not overpowering, just perfect. I'm 100% sure I can eat the whole tray by myself in one sitting - but I'm not gonna! I'm sharing and spreading it out. My husband and kids are also obsessed. What else is there to say? Its absolutely, without a doubt, the best crumb cake I've had in my entire life and I don't think it'll be topped! *mic drop*

Love Charlotte Sugar Rush! I had the opportunity to buy slices of her cakes directly at a pop-up collab with Honeybear Bake Shop. I went with the Cinnamon Crumb Cake and then Chocolate Chip Cookie Crumb cake. Both were phenomenal and had an excellent crumb to cake ratio.I will totally buy a cake from her in the future! Not only are the cakes delicious (I've tried original, pumpkin, lemon, & cookies and cream) but Shannon is so personable and customer service is great. These also freeze well so I'll get in bulk and then just pull out for breakfast when guests in town or to take to a hostess when visiting. You've got a gift Sugar Rush!

This has to be the most delectable crumb cake ever! Being from the north east, I had a hard time finding something to satisfy my crumb cake cravings until I stumbled across sugar rush! The cake is moist and flavorful and the crumb is mile high with the perfect texture. Zero disappointment. I'm surprised it lasts in our home more than a day! We look forward to it every time. Shannon is also just as sweet as her perfect cake! She's quick to respond and delivers nothing less than a perfect product!

I got the original crumb cake. The cake was moist. The crumbs were excellent - a lot of them piled high. I froze some and had it a few days later. It tasted great again. Will definitely buy another down the road.
