Suffolk Punch Brewing - South End

Great first experience here!Walked in on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch.The first thing to note was the decor indoor and outdoor and the brewing set which is open and visible and really cool to see and walk by. Seating is comfortable and varied. We were able to sit where ever as it was not very full. We chose bench seating.The food was amazing. We ordered the Burrata-Rita flatbread and the bang bang cauliflower. Also ordered the blueberry pie cider which was delicious and refreshing. The cauliflower was the best I've had ever.The service was prompt, friendly and attentive. We were checked in on multiple times and our server made sure to say goodbye when he came off his shift. Both servers provided great service. Will definitely come back again when I am in town and will also recommend to anyone visiting.

So much potential. So much room to improve. Suffolk Punch did not meet expectations unfortunately. I visited on a Friday (shoutout to the guest trivia company - the trivia was cute!) Parking in this area is a nightmare on weekends so be mindful of this if you're driving. The cocktails are okay/decent and the actual space is nice. Love that the outdoor area is dog friendly. I ordered fries and cauliflower bites and both were pretty terrible. The fries were almost burned and tasted like old frying oil. The cauliflower was also overcooked and over-battered. We ordered electronically (via barcodes on the table and such) and my order mysteriously got knocked off the queue so we ended up having to get up and ask + wait for an hour for the food. I'd love for the kitchen/menu to refresh things a bit and also for the service to improve. For the prices - it's not worth it to me. If you're sitting at a bar having a drink, especially if you live nearby - this place can work for you.

Suffolk Punch is such a staple to the South End neighborhood. I love that they use the tent over the outside seating in the winter now too. The food and drinks here are always fresh and fast. I stopped by here on New Year's Day for brunch and I was very pleased. They have so many options for nonalcoholic beverages to choose from but I decided to order a Diet Coke. We started with the truffled hand cut fries for the table and I was obsessed. The dip that came with them was so good too. For my meal I had the small baby kale Caesar and I added fried chicken to it. The size was perfect for brunch and all the ingredients were so fresh! The others had the chicken biscuit and the peppermill sausage and gravy biscuit. They both said their orders were very tasty as well. Can't wait to come back!

The food was delicious! We went on the day they had the tenders and fries for $10 and it was definitely worth it! Our server was reallySweet and recommended the blueberry pie cider which was really good as well. This is a great place to hang out with friends for sure. The burger was huge and the tacos were pretty tasty too. If you like blackened shrimp tacos you'd love it.

Walked in and my friend and I grabbed some open bar seats we chilled here for about 8 minutes not one staff member bothered to notice us so we left and walked out to go visit another establishment where we were greeted and served instantaneously.Wouldn't come back here based on this as it wasn't even busy.

Today was a "day" at work so I needed to get out and have a beer. And after driving around South End behind stupid Charlotte drivers, I definitely needed a beer. Suffolk Punch isn't at all hard to find, right off South Tryon and they have a dedicated parking lot. So that's just awesome.We seated ourselves at the table and Erin came by to take our drink order. A mocktail for Mrs. K. and a pilsner for me and when she returned with the drinks, we ordered a "flatbread" that really is a pizza.It did take a bit considering the restaurant was almost empty but it was worth it. Burrata and cherry tomatoes and a balsamic drizzle. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.We were here for at least an hour and I feel a whole bunch of destressed. Very nice spot for brunch. We got there before the game started so it wasn't crowded or loud.The portions were large, food came out fast and was very good. We'll be back

I stopped by for lunch on a random Tuesday, and the place was quiet. The bartender was welcoming and seated us immediately. We ordered a couple of beers, and I particularly enjoyed a light beer with a subtle coffee flavor. The food was excellent, especially the bang bang cauliflower. Although I was just passing through, I would definitely return to this restaurant.

This is the first time I have ever written a review, but I have been here twice and have had an outstanding experience both times! The chicken wrap and fries are the best I've had in a while, and the beer is excellent. Seating and service have always felt welcoming, this place rocks!

I recently hosted a gathering in the Norfolk Hall at Suffolk Punch Brewery. Everything was wonderful! The ambiance, the food, the staff, etc. I highly recommend looking into this venue if you are wanting to host an event. I worked with Jonathan Ball and he made everything easy and also loved having Thurman and Maddie help us the night of! Great experience!!!
