OMgoodness, so glad I rediscovered Suarez for a donut fix! Look no further for your vegan donut or treat. This is the place. Bang on glazed donut, perfect. Not to out shadow the Apple fritter, Texas cinnamon twirl (is that right?), and cinnamon sugar. The dairy donuts are even more impressive.We recently hosted a breakfast party in the park which Suarez accommodated seamlessly. Opens at 9, preorder ready, pop off to the park and, boom! Delicious. Fresh dough is the best. I think 1 dozen is the bottom limit for preorder... Service is great. Ambiance is nice- Hop into the buzzing bakery, transparent cake assembly on the left and delicatessen displays on the right. Love Suarez, they do things right. So appreciative of a dang vegan donut!

Tasty, affordable Cuban-style bakery conveniently located in Park Rd Shopping Center! We got the guava pastelito, apple fritter, and donut holes. Right now, there's a Yelp check-in offer for a free pastry (up to $5 value), so our pastelito ended up being free! Service was speedy, patient, and friendly. Note: this location is different from the Optimist Hall one, which also serves coffee and sandwiches. This is JUST a bakery. (TBH, I wouldn't mind the cafe offerings here too though! Love a Cuban cafecito.)Of what we got, I really enjoyed the guava pastelito since it was perfectly flaky and had an apricot glaze, adding a little something extra to this pastry that scream Miami to me. I also thought the apple fritter was nice since it had little chunks of apple in it. This was especially delish after we got home and heated it up. The donut holes were just ok to me, so I wouldn't be coming back here just for those, but it's nice to have the option to get something small and sweet if the craving hits. I'd love to return and try more baked goods! The cakes look divine, and looks like they also have seasonal offerings.

We ordered the Oreo chocolate cake last month for my daughter's 3rd birthday and it did not disappoint! The cake was so delicious and moist; everyone wanted to know where we got it from. Our guests said it was the best chocolate cake they've ever had. Highly recommend! Planning on ordering our gender reveal cake with them this week.

Who doesn't love donuts? With so many donut shops in CLT, Suárez stands out with its Donut CAKE! The icing is tremendously sweet and donut is super fluffy. The employees are very accommodating to build this with short notice and at a good price. Their shops are more than just donuts, so if you're near Park Rd Shopping Center or Optimist Hall, I recommend going to their shop and seeing what else they have to offer behind the glass of goodies! Also shoutout to their extremely fudgy Salted Caramel Brownie mmmm.

I spent a few years working in a pie shop and love pie. The Suarez Bourbon Pecan is the absolute best pecan pie I've found. Unlike most other pecan pies, this has the correct level of sweetness, i/m/o. This allows all of the other favors to be present in every bite. I'll return soon to try their other pies. Post cake update - this cake was DELICIOUS!!! I showed up early to collect and it was ready! It was teal and white stripes, chocolate with vanilla filling, SUPER moist, fresh and tasty. Everyone loved it!!

Extremely underwhelming. I've heard nothing but good things about this bakery, but the products themselves fell short of expectation. The coconut cream cake was average at best, and not memorable. Disappointing for a tiny $5 piece. It's hard to mess up a doughnut, but somehow they did it. The chocolate sprinkle lacked flavor and flattened as I ate it. It wasn't fluffy & airy like a donut should be. They weren't "awful" or the worst thing I'd ever eaten, so I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.

Suarez Bakery's tres leches cake is the perfect individual serving, and their red velvet and carrot cakes are definite highlights. I love that they make fresh Cuban bread on Saturdays--it's always a treat! The only suggestion I have is for them to stay open past 5 pm at least one day a week, as it would be great to stop by later in the day.

Not trying to be disrespectful but they advertise made to order custom cakes, but they really do not offer that. They have options to choose from, but you cannot customize the cake at all. They should really change the name because they are not custom. They will not stray from policy, which I understand, but also the policies are insane. I really wanted to get a gender reveal cake from here, but they do not do that or it's not in their policy. A little disappointed.Follow up: I did see the somewhat condescending comment below after I left what I thought to be a respectful review of my experience. I have attached a picture of their website where they advertise for cakes made "just for you". This implies a custom cake if I am not mistaken. Also, the women I spoke to on the phone said "No, we do not do gender reveal cakes" when I asked about them.
