Steeplechase Sports Bar & Grill

We ate lunch here a couple of years ago and decided to return for an adult dinner after celebrating our 7-year old grandson's birthday. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived, and a couple of football games were playing on multiple televisions so my Hubby was a happy man! The place seems popular with the locals, and filled up while we were there, but our server took good care of us.We started with fried mozzarella sticks which were hot and tasty. Hubby ordered a garden salad with his chicken quesadilla, while I had a sautéed vegetable medley with my fried fish tacos. (I found out later that I could have had the fish grilled, so we'll have to go back again, lol!). Everything was delicious and we got our adult dinner after a day full of children's activities.

We were passing through Camden, SC and this seemed the best option based on review. Sunday at 2pm and the place was mobbed, although we were seated within about 5 minutes. It's very dark inside, with a long bar and tables crammed in from front to back. Service was friendly, genuine and efficient. Daily drink and food specials at great prices. Ordered the bourbon bacon burger bunless and both burger and fries were decent. Not hand pattied but a nice size. My partner had the cuban which also looked delicious. The country music blaring throughout was starting to make me twitch, but overall the vibe is small town local which I could appreciate.

Good vibes, good food, good service. GOOD sweet tea. Nice stop in Camden for some regular lunch style food! They were busy but sat us quickly. Bar seats were packed which was a pleasant surprise. In my brain that equals good bar service. We will be back!

The place is too crowded. There seemed to be too many employees running into each other. The food was average.

Had a blast at the Steeplechase today after the Carolina Cup! Great drinks, friendly bartenders, and the crowd was lively. Perfect spot to unwind after a day at the track!

I use a credit card and have dined at many restaurants across the country and not one has ever charged me for a credit card , ridiculous, I ordered the pork chop special one night and as I was eating blood poured out they asked me if I wanted something else and I said I couldn't even look at food , I ate the salad that I substituted for two sides , so I got a bill for 8.00 dollars for the two sides , any other restaurant would have just comp it , the food is fair but I think it will be awhile before I go

To be clear the service is great. The food... depends on what you order. Tonight we ordered chilled shrimp, wings and a Ribeye steak. The steak was perfect! The chilled shrimp - chalky and mushy and tasted pickled... the wings tasted like they had been reheated one too many times and smothered in buffalo sauce in an attempt to hide it- they were lukewarm. The place was busy so you'd think they'd be able to prepare fresh food. Not tonight.

A pleasant lunch with friends! Good service, excellent food and had no problem catering to our special orders and altered menu items to be vegetarian. One friend is a Reuben Sandwich expert and says this is one of the best he has had! The expected kinda loud sports bar atmosphere, what we expected! We will be back!

I took my daughter to the Steeplechase Sports Bar and Grill after taking her to the national steeplechase museum, which is a few mins away from the restaurant. I ordered cheese sticks as an appetizer and they were very good. My daughter ordered chicken strips and fries, and she enjoyed them. I order fried flounder and it was amazing. It was crisp and tasty, i will definitely be back again.

Great food and service, this is a must to check out in this small tavern setting. The salmon was outrageous!!!
