Steamers Sports Pub

Today I visited Steamer's for the first time. I would definitely call it a hole in the wall type of bar. There are a lot of TVs, dart boards, and pool tables. I'm an Eagles fan so it was the perfect place to watch the game. There is plenty of parking and overall it is a good environment. They cover the pool tables and make the Foos ball tables seating. That may be a turnoff and uncomfortable for some since you are sitting in folding chairs. The staff was attentive and when we told the waitress it was our first time she gave us recommendations. I ordered the shrimp basket, which was ample and delicious (I forgot to take a picture). Here is my only complaint. I ordered ice water with lemon. And as we all know, water is usually free. However, when we received the bill we were charged $1.50. The menu does state that water bottled water is $1.25. But I never received a bottle of water. I was served a glass of water with ice and lemon. We asked the waitress about it since we thought it was an error. She rudely told us that she poured a bottle of water in a glass with ice and put lemon in it and therefore it's considered a bottle of water. I have no problem paying for bottled water if that's what I received. She said that this only applies on Sunday. If you have people that are loyal patrons of your bar, especially as a sports team, then you would think water would be free. There is even a sign that says no free water without the purchase of food, but I purchased food. If you are charging me a $1.50 per bottle, then bring the bottle to my table and notify me that you are charging me each time I get another glass of water. Since it was my first time visiting this establishment.

We were looking for an Eagles bar, googled some places and this was our first choice. It was a nice place. Family oriented in the front; rowdy in the back. The menu online is not offered during Eagles games but it's still a nice menu and the bartenders do not miss. Service was great and friendly. Parking is in the back but safe environment.

When I was roaming around Charlotte on vacay I was super stoked to find out that there was Eagles sports bar in town. I walked in and was instantly at home. Just a heads-up this is a multi team bar, each team having it's own room. Surrounded by my fellow Eagles fans (there's a bunch in Charlotte) I couldn't wait to have an ice cold Yuengling and some wings, the key word there is WAIT. My beer came right away but the food.....I ordered before kickoff, a very complex and diffcult order (chicken tenders and french fries). My food didn't come until after halftime!!! At that point I was three Yuengling in and thinking about chewing on my napkins for sustenance. My food, when it came out was rock hard and cold!! I ate it but it was a chore (Iwas starving though).My service was ok, the young ladynever let me be without a beer, but that food.....oofa!So if you're an Eagles' fan, stop in and surround yourself with our flock, have a beer or three, just eat before you get there. GO BIRDS!!!!!!!

Great service by Samantha and manager is very helpful with TVs or anything extra you need to enjoy your time. I visited to watch a football game. Food was good (wings, potatoe skins, caeser salad, cold beer with ressinavl prives. Hiighly recommend.

I had long heard that this is THE place to watch the Eagles in Charlotte. I am not an Eagles fan but I have a friend who is and I love a good dive so when the opportunity came to go watch them play in playoffs last night I was excited to finally see what this place is about. My group included me and two friends only one of us being an actually Eagles fan. I may have been the only person there not decked out in team attire and the place was packed! While looking for an open seat one of the other patrons noticed us and came over to tell us that they have three open seats and asked us to sit with their group. If this is an indication of how the regular clientele treat others I am impressed! It was very nice to have a stranger go out of their way to make us feel welcome. I didn't try any food but from the look of it they serve standard bar food, can't ask for much more in a sports bar. The buckets of beer were cheap, they had plenty of TVs with the game sound on, and everyone's eyes were glued to the game. It turned out to be a very exciting game but unfortunately for the Steamers crowd the Eagles came up short.Overall I really enjoyed my time here. This place is perfect as a sports bar and if I were a true Eagles fan I would for sure be coming here for games. I wish there was something comparable for my New England Patriots but so far I haven't been anywhere that can match that type of atmosphere.

Hadn't been back in a while so figured I would see if it was just as good as I had remembered, but unfortunately I should have stayed with memories from long ago, as like most things, when you try to harken back to something good from the past, it never ends well. Servers are beyond awesome by the way, so it pains me to write this, as they more than made up for the mediocre food, but unfortunately all it takes is one bad apple to ruin the bunch, and judging by the reviews on here, everyone knows who that bad apple is, as if you catch him on a bad day, you will get to experience a random tirade that completely kills any chance for this place to be something more. Again, it's unfortunate, but as the old saying goes...you are who you are...

Angry Feminist: Bartender editionIf you like neighborhood sports bars with bitter women pouring you drinks all night this is the place for you. I googled the place when I first arrived to Charlotte and it seemed homely enough. Little did I know that the courtesy and service here is probably the worst I have ever received. Skeleton crews of three people make the service slow and the bartenders are often aloof and absent. The drink quality and prices are good but the horrible service overshadows what could be a perfect atmosphere. I asked for a tip back because the service was so bad and rather than oblige they would think that defrauding me would be more appropriate and the lead bartender told me to dispute the entire claim on my bank statement then give me my money back. Would not recommend stay far away from this place the employees are not friendly. Don't talk to the bartenders about men, they are scorned clearly.

I went there with my husband before a checkers game. I play pool competitively and wanted to see what this establishment had to offer. Coin operated 7ft tables. I believe it was $1.50 per game. Met some regulars that were friendly. Tables looked decent. I ordered a Cobb salad. Wasn't what I thought it would be. It was ground chicken instead of a filet of chicken. It still was good just different from the norm. Service was good as it was roughly 430pm. I would like to see it when it's busy to have a more accurate review. I would still go back when I'm on that side of town.

UPDATE! Went back the next morning because they were closed by the time I made it home and seen my food. Got there asked for a refund showed the waitress the food literally took a bite out of one wing & that's all she told me they don't do refunds after 12 hours nor was the owner was there! Turns out he was in fact there in the back he came out soon as he approached me "this looks like perfect good food( picking up the wings) " I calmly explained I did not want it and I wanted a refund he started yelling in my face about he sick of "you people" trying to get over! He tried to kick me out I had to threaten him with the police! Because I only took one bite out of 1 chicken wing. Finally he threw my money at me and shouted "u or ur people is not welcomed here!" Clearly a RACIST ESTABLISHMENT! Never again!
