Starlight on 22nd

Attended a Neon Sip & Paint event from Fever at this location, and I had a great time. I never knew this bar even existed (I'm in noda quite a bit) and was pleasantly surprised to find another gem in the area. The event itself was a VIBE! The black light, music, ambiance, people, and instructors were amazing. This was a more self paced, on your paint event. The instructors did come around to give ideas and help out if you needed them, but they provide stencils, tape, and other things to help get your creative juices flowing!! I will definitely attend one of these events again. The bar itself was cute and cozy! The bartender was super friendly and efficient. Unless you are actively looking for this place, it's quite easy to miss, being nestled in the middle of new apartments and construction going on in the area. We were able to snag a parking spot right in front of the building, but I did see people park in a lot across the street, which I believe you did have to pay for. It's such a small street that it can get cramped with people trying to park and walk to the location. The bar inside is small but plenty of lounge seating to choose from. I did see they have lots of events on select nights, and they do have games. This will be a lounge bar that I will be visiting a lot now that I know it exists.

This was our first time here but it was a very pleasant experience. We was at Neon Brush, not being an artist the class brought out our imagination. We were greeted with very friendly people upon entering. The bar was constantly busy as people prepared for their painting experience. The whole place had some powerful speakers as we painted to the sounds of house music and P-funk, we were vibing. Great experience!(Caution: parking sucks in this area)

Just recently started going here after living down the street for a while. The events here are super fun we went to a comedy night and it was quite entertaining! Staff is always super kind and there's a huge selection of beer, wine, etc.My favorite thing about this place is the queer community stronghold that it is. It can be tough as a lesbian couple to feel accepted and safe in bar spaces but this place really takes the cake, we love it!

I just attended a private event at this place, and it was great! LOCATIONEven though this place is near Optimist Hall, it's a bit hidden. You will have to rely on your GPS to get you there. Parking lot is small, but there is street parking available.MENUThey have a good selection of drinks, cocktails, beer and wine, and limited food items.Pretty cool place!This is an awesome lounge for a hangout or to rent it for special events.

Super fun place to grab a drink and listen to music. Very laid back and chill atmosphere and feature a bunch of local artists/comics. Bartenders are helpful and quick. Would definitely recommend!

Really cool spot! Nothing else really like it around Charlotte.Eclectic is the first word that comes to mind. I very open minded interior design. It would be really hard for me to explain, so I guess your best bet is just to look at some of the uploaded pics.Good beer and wine selection. Occasionally some music out back. I've only been here once and it wasn't for long, but I will be back ASAP to check out what all this place has to offer.

Awesome new place in the Optimist Hall/Villa Heights/NoDA neighborhood! Great place to hang out with some friends for a drink or two. Bonus: they are displaying local art. The owners are super friendly and can't wait for warmer days to enjoy their spacious outdoor space! We will definitely be back on a regular basis

If your "old school" charlotte NODA, this your place. Nothing too fancy yet has the down home artsy vibe with allot of soul. Such a wonderful escape from the corporate cookie cutter new stuff in NODA. Super comfy with fringe crowd of interesting folks. As a true local I feel super at home at the Starlight.

What a gem! Hidden between two large buildings, dont drive past it. Went to an Imperfect Strangers event (they host a lot of different events) which was great and now here for Monday night Krazy Karaoke. Love the ambience, and the bartender Orion (cool name, huh?) who looks exactly like Daniel Ratcliffe (Harry Potter) makes the best drinks, he's a great mixologist! Go and support a great local bar!

Super fun paint experience. Got to meet the owners and they were really kind. Great drinks and atmosphere. Would definitely return.
