One of the BEST dive spots in the area. I could have ate the north end of a south-bound polecat coming in this place. Got them as they first opened, so of course it wasn't busy. Was immediately greeted and found a table. Ordering didn't take long. We knew we wanted wings and cheese fries. The food came out faster than a knife fight in a phone booth and was hotter than a stolen tamale. Is the food good, you ask? Is a 5 pound robin fat?... YES!!. It was so good it could have brought a tear to a glass eye. It's definitely worth a trip to Hartsville. Frankly, it's the only reason I go.

Have given this business several opportunities to change my perspective but I am finally convinced they will not improve. Very skimpy on raw fries/wing chips and have to ask for vinegar. Only receive 2 thin pieces of celery and wings have very little sauce even when ordered "very wet". Wings do not taste like they are freshly fried. We usually place about a $100 to go order and always end up feeling like we wasted $100. We have finally decided to remove Wjngs and Ale as an option for wings. We will drive to Leo's in Lugoff/Camden where they know how to cook and fill a hot wing and raw fry order and also give you what you pay for and actually order.

Wingz and Ale is okay for what it is- a sports bar in a small town. I've eaten here several times when visiting friends and family in Hartsville, and while I've never been blown away, I've never left hungry, either. My husband, father-in-law, and I recently visited on a Friday night. It was happy hour and the guys had beers. I noticed a long list of mixed drinks (great prices too), but I decided not to have one. I ended up ordering the fish and chips and got sweet potato fries instead of chips or regular fries, which also came with a side of coleslaw. My father in law got a sandwich and chips and my husband got a buffalo chicken salad. We also had fried mushrooms to share. I really liked my fish and chips. The sweet potato fries are covered in brown sugar, so if you're not into that, you should let your server know when ordering. My white fish was seasoned really well and fried crispy, not soggy. I got two very large fish strips and couldn't eat them all. The sweet potato fries were really good too. I enjoyed my food and at $9.95, thought the price was right. Our main disappointment of the night was with the timing of our food. My husband's salad came out 10 minutes before my fish and fries and my FIL's sandwich and chips. The server kept checking on us and telling us our food was coming. My husband also had to ask for another salad dressing since his viniagrette was all oil (he ended up getting ranch). We ended up waiting a long time on everything so that we could start eating. The server was really nice about it and apologetic (I think the kitchen staff may have gotten my side item substitution wrong). I won't cross Wingz and Ale off my list for the food timing issues, although I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back. There aren't a ton of sports bar options in Hartsville, though, so if you just want to have a drink and chill, you're probably fine with Wingz and Ale.

This place was great, the Bartender Kalib (Sorry if I spelled it wrong) was a cool dude, very knowledgeable of the drink selection, and presented the wings as the best in town, and what we had and tasted did not disappoint us one bit. The manager I forget her name was friendly, as well as the rest of the staff would just stop and say high, this made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed and will be back next time we are in Town.

Zaxbys has bigger better and cheaper wings. The hot isn't even close to hot. I was very disappointed once again with the food and my last time going here for food. Going for drinks is okay but that's it.

Wingz and ale is probably one of my favorites in hartsville. I recommend the chicken tenders dipped in either bacon honey mustard or teriyaki!

Second or third time here, really love their fries and my burger was great. Wife had a loaded salad which was very fresh. Add some cold beer and I had a good break on a hot day!
