best food in Landrum hands down! I didn't want to leave a review because I'm afraid of others finding out how good it is but it's too good not to share with others. great experience every single time. worth the visit if you are ever in the area. Affordable and very tasty.

I really wanted to like this place. The reviews had me excited. That excitement quickly changed. Took 15 mins just to get waters. I can ignore things like that as the place was very busy but what I can't ignore is how disappointing the food was. The ribs were dry and tough with no flavor, the slice pork was like eating jerky, the collared greens had the least amount of flavor I've ever had. This is not a BBQ place, no one would call what I was served as BBQ because that's an insult to the BBQ name! The only saving grace for Southside is the Mac & cheese and Cajun sausage! I will not be returning and I advise you try other places in the area before settling for somewhere like this

Food is always very good. Service has been hot or miss. If you happen to go when a bigger party is there, don't expect to be able to carry on a conversation.

We just love this place. The food and cocktails are really amazing. It's a place where people are happy to see each other when they walk in! Makes me happy just to walk in the door

Best bbq around the SC/NC state line area. Awesome neon signs hung everywhere. Great patio in the back to grab a beer and watch tv while waiting on your table. We've had the same waitress both times we've been there and she is great at her job. Pulled pork nachos are enough to feed 4 people and are probably in the Top 2 of bbq nachos I've ever had. Huge variety of drinks from beer to tequila to wine.

They say this is not your average BBQ joint. I can agree with that statement especially when it comes to the hash. Some people have been told that stew is hash. That's not right. Hash is shredded meat with some potatoes or such that are so well ground up that you won't see them. That's what you get here and it's got a wonderful flavor and texture. We had the has over rice with hush puppies. I haven't seen hash like this in years. One of their other plates look great. The presentation on some of them looks like they are from a fine dining establishment. The place is worth visiting just for the hash. I would definitely come back!

Lunch today was in Landrum, SC a 45 minute drive from Easley to have lunch with some friends from church. We dined at Southside Smokehouse and Grille. It was a really nice day to drive out of the way, on the back roads that Siri loves to take you on, but that was ok I invited my sister to go with me. It wasn't a hard place to find, and we arrived there at 10:50. It's a nice size restaurant, that's a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside. The inside in areas that aren't near a window it's too dark and the lighting is dim. For our drinks I got a Diet Coke and my sister ordered a lemonade. Now please keep in mind it was only 11:10, they had only been open 10 minutes, and they were already out of lemonade. For my meal I got a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and mayo and a side of southern potato salad. The serving was more than enough to eat. The grilled chicken was seasoned just right, tender and juicy, on a toasted brioche bun. The potato salad was red potato wedges with thinly sliced celery, dressed in a mustard/mayo mixture. Not what I would call " southern potato salad, but it was ok. I really wanted to try the fried okra spears, I had heard about how delicious they were, but guess what??? They were out of those too!! It was then 11:50, come on now, It wasn't that busy, so they just didn't have any. All in all it was a nice lunch and time visiting with friends.

Great food and drinks at a great price. The staff are friendly and service is excellent. Unpretentious, but I love the playlist.

If you want some great smoked meat with all the traditional fixins this the place for you. Ms Amanda will provide exceptional bar service. Five Star Gal!!

So I first heard of this place a few weeks ago when I read an article about the top restaurants with amazing whiskey offerings. Sadly none of them were near us (Hendersonville,NC). But I was scanning through the comments and I noticed that someone mentioned this place. My wife and were trying to decide on a new place for date night, and we decided to give them a shot. We came in expecting a significant offering of whiskey and hoping that the food would be at least ok. Well, both far exceeded our expectations. Their impressive list of whiskey offerings (6 pgs, single spaced) includes mostly bourbons and other American whiskeys. I thought that their prices were very reasonable. Their cocktails were amazing! My wife tried their "Showtime"(Larceny bourbon, black walnut & chocolate bitters, popcorn & soda simple, and caramel popcorn). She LOVED it, and I can say it was honestly VERY good. The Bulleit Rye Old Fashion tasted amazing. The dinner menu is ENORMOUS! BBQ, Cajun, Burgers, Seafood, and more. Their specials sounded amazing. I had the soft shell crabs, served with fried green tomatoes, hushpuppies, and a side of jambalaya and red beans and rice. My wife had the ribs and pulled pork with roasted beets and a baked potato. When I say everything was delicious, I mean it! I would return for the red beans and rice alone, and that's not to take anything away from the rest of the meal, it's just how good they were.The food was amazing, the service friendly and fast; our meals came out before I got my first cocktail. The portions are enormous and the prices VERY reasonable. I'm glad that they aren't any closer to us, because I would be there every night. Wow! What a pleasant surprise. We will be back. Next time we save room for desert!
