Southern Spirits

Hands down one of my favorite liquor and wine stores. I travel for work and get to check out stores all across the country and Southern Spirits is by far one of the best. As a bourbon drinker you really have to respect their selection. Tons of great bottles to choose from and their selection of store picks is amazing. I was in heaven last year when they had not 1 but 3 different Yellowstone picks. Staff is always super helpful and willing to get suggestions if you're not sure what to pick. Now for the fun part. Southern Spirits handles allocated bottles better than any store I've ever seen. They host tons of cool blind lotteries, big release drops where camp out and choose from some of the most sought after bottles. They even hosted an Olympics style event last year with some great bourbon on the line. If you're in the area they are definitely a must visit for anyone who enjoys wine and spirits.

Still impressed with their whisky selections, especially their single malts. A very nice collection.They also have quite a large variety of mixers, like vermouth, cream liquors, and far more than one offering of spirits, so experiment until you fine one that you really like.I am an older man and appreciate their regular courtesy of carrying my purchases out to my car. They are not actually open on Sundays!! Their advertising is misleading, only their poor and unorganized selection of wine and some beer is available for purchase on Sundays. Also! All their exclusive and rare liquor isn't even available for purchase, it can only be randomly "won" at a blind raffle. That could leave you paying way more for a regular bottle when you bought the ticket trying to get a rare one. So, no they don't have all these great picks available, they sell it to who they want to while making a shit ton of money off of everyone else. All for Instagram views and scamming money off of people instead of just selling liquor like a genuine business.

When you need to seriously stock up this is the place to go. We appreciated all of the assistance from everyone as we are acclimating to this store.

Here's the thing about this place. If you're grabbing liquor, it's fine. Whatever. Same price as an ABC store in NC. Be VERY careful on the beer side though. It's a hot mess. No organization and CHECK THE DATES. Half their IPAs are like a year old or more. IPAs hazy or west coast don't last that long. They turn to butter. I don't drink any IPA over 60 days old and it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack there. If you're grabbing a strong stout it shouldn't matter because that stuff keeps for years.

I went with my family to grab some stuff for the holiday. We're new to the area and didn't know the liquor side was closed so I asked the guys working if there was a way to find out what tequila they had to know if I should come back when it's open and they basically laughed me out of the store...? Totally unfriendly and unwelcoming. I just asked "is there a way to know what tequila you have?" And they were complete jackasses for me not understanding the liquor laws. Go 5 min across the state line for an ABC Store instead.

The hubby has been here a few times (we don't live super close to it, but happened to be in the area), and he has always spoken very highly of this liquor store. Honestly, I always thought he was just overly excited about something that is just about everywhere. Well, I was wrong! Wow! The customer service, the selections, and the prices are so worth it! We came in for a lottery ticket and left with a little bit of everything! I / we will definitely be back and maybe try and find errands to run out that way, just to stop there.

There are a lot of options in the area for Spirits, this place should be at the top of your list.From the time you walk in the door, you will feel welcomed. They always have some one to greet you and to ask if they can assist.I've visited several times and each visit has been great.They have an excellent selection of wines with varied prices and if they don't have what you want, they will order it for you, just ask for Martha.

BEST liquor store in the south!! Great rum and tequila selection. Really friendly staff. So close to the North Carolina border to finally get all the booze you want. Highly recommended!!

Save yourself some time...better and prices and selection just down/across the street from this place. Just because this store is right on the SC border doesn't mean they have the best selection or prices...but a competitor very by close does!!!This business owner has ZERO consideration for the community he aims to serve as he flys super noisy aircraft at low levels all over the area on a daily basis....morning and afternoon.The nonstop ear piecing noise makes it impossible to enjoy time outdoors with friends and family when flying overhead...and makes it difficult to work indoors with this noisy airplane constantly circling overheadHave some consideration for the community that has supported your business!
