With a name like Southern Salads, you would think they had a salad with Iceberg lettuce.Nope, they do not!I read thru the description of each salad and their 'spring mix' includes just about everything but iceberg lettuce.So disappointed, right?I just don't understand this trend today around calling something a salad with no real iceberg lettuce.I had to be in the area for business so I stopped in to pick-up a 'to go' menu.There was a real nice young lady there and she said 'we are out, we are getting ready to come out with a new menu'.I asked her specifically about the salads not having iceberg and she confirmed that was the case. So sorry, she said. No big deal really, I know where to get them. I thought to myself you should change the name of your restaurant because you don't have Southern Salads. I'm born and raised right here in the area and I bet you ask any real southerner what a salad is made with and they will say lettuce, real lettuce, not arugula, not spinach or any one of a bunch of random green things you throw in there.I'm sorry to rant, but if the name was anything other than Southern Salads, I would shut up.I did order a patty melt.It was just OK.

$53 for 2 salads with grilled chicken and a kids' grilled cheese. I'll start with the grilled cheese, what was so burnt it was inedible. It also was literally just a sandwich in a box. No fries or chips or anything. 2 pieces of bread with cheese and a juice box for $7. ?!? My husband got the Greek salad with grilled chicken and I got the summer salad with grilled chicken. The chicken must have been grilled last week at some point. It was cold and dry and didn't amount to a whole breast piece; there were perhaps 5-7 bite-sized pieces per salad. The Greek salad was missing several ingredients; no olives, cucumbers, or onions. The summer salad had rotting lettuce. On top of this, when we went to pick up the food, the establishment is filthy. Dust and dirt everywhere. Service was very slow. Just overall not worth the time or money. Such a disappointment. Will not be returning.

For the most part I like their soup and sandwiches. I haven't been in awhile. Recently I got the chicken salad on a croissant. The ratio of bread was very off. ! Suggestion ! Get your croissants down the road from Tega Cay deli! They are larger and less dry than one I had. I do like that I can get the (creamy) chicken salad in pints. I do think charging $1.25 for chips is a bit steep too.

The salads are nice and fresh and taste good! The size is adequate enough to leave you full and satisfied. I also love that you can get homemade salads like potato or egg salad as an add on to the leafy salads.The staff is friendly and my order was ready on time.

OK so we brought 3 salads I can say these were through worst we have ever had in our lives. The lettuce was old and it was filled only with the cheap iceberg ..hello we got the summer salads so that's suppose to have spring mix and baby spinach . this was a total mess won't ever be back ever. Next time capriotti only. Total disappointment. Even the dressing not good we had to use our own . its one and done for me.

We really like the food here. I do have two suggestions 1. Chicken rice soup could use some Montreal chicken seasoning. 2. Add white wraps ... kids quesadilla isn't popular with kids using a tomato wrap ! We will def order a third time !
