I recently had my first visit to Southern Salads after hearing about them and it will not be the last. The restaurant is casual yet comfortable while the customer service is just as dynamic as their food. The staff was very welcoming, which heightened the experience. The SW BBQ Chicken Salad (Grilled chicken coated in their homemade BBQ sauce, served on a bed of salad mix with black beans, fried corn, and egg, sprinkled with spicy French fried onions) had fresh, crisp veggies, an excellent combination of flavors, but the star of the show was the BBQ chicken. The sauce on the chicken was irresistibly delicious. I loved the Build Your Own Burger (BYOB) option, which I loved because my burger was cooked to perfection MY WAY. The Egg Salad Sandwich (Fresh, homemade egg salad with your choice of bread) was enjoyable and nostalgic not only because of the fresh ingredients, but also because of the grilled sourdough bread. The egg salad did not have sweet relish, which is how I am used to eating it, but it did not impact the taste.

I'm always on the hunt for good chicken salad...they are doing it right here. Not to mention 20 other scratch made dips & spreads. I had a garden salad with 2 scoops of creamy chicken salad. Not sure if not was it fabulous, it could have fed 2-3 people - huge portion!!!Staff is amazing and very helpful!!!

Talk about delicious sandwiches! You guys don't understand how picky I am with chicken salad... their chicken salad was the best chicken salad I have ever had from somewhere.... I don't even have to make it myself anymore because I can legitimately just purchase it from here and it's perfect!

I ordered the Harvest salad, which is a lettuce-based salad with grapes, chopped apple, craisins and pecans. It sounded delicious but was a total bummer. I thought the lettuce might be spinach or spring mix, maybe a baby butter lettuce, but not so. It was served over iceberg lettuce. The harvest salad would be so delicious if only the lettuce was swapped out. I think Southern Salad's specialty is their selection of pre-made, non-green salads. Chicken salad, egg salad, tuna, ham, etc. I'm inclined to stop in again and try one of those, but as far as the lettuce salads, I'm gonna have to pass. I can make great salads myself.

Got a sandwich from here today and three bites in, I found a long, nasty strand of hair mixed into the chicken salad. Absolutely disgusting, and I STRONGLY discourage anyone from purchasing food here. Make your employees wear hair nets!!

I ate here for the first time and it was delicious. The service is great, too. They check up on each customer and are very friendly. I got the grilled chicken sandwich as was suggested by the cashier and it really hit the spot. I'd definitely come back here again.

So I ordered the chef salad pretty simple right? Had an option of ham only or turkey only I opted with turkey only no tomatoes apparently they either don't care, didn't read instructions, or simply have people preparing it that don't have a clue. Received the chef salad with ham and turkey oh and let's not forget tomatoes was on there too! Geez such a simple request. Well at least I thought it was.
