Recently visited and took the tour which included 4 samples. Our guide was very fun and informative. I'd say it's worth $15 to do once but there would be no need to do it again after that. I gotta say they're putting out some pretty solid products! The double rye is a good value and their single barrels have good flavor. The facility is clean and welcoming. They have a little lounge / bar area where you can grab a drink or sample more whiskey. Merch and bottles are available on site.

A wonderful , welcoming place. They offer tours , but we did not have enough time for one, but would definately return for the tour. Located about an hour from Charlotte in Statesville the liquor capital of the world. Located on a beautiful property is the building. They offered several seasonal drinks and while I don't recall all the names, we enjoyed them all. One was a mule, and the other was an "adult chocolate milk with bourbon cream. The tasting room has comfy couches and seating areas to relax and enjoy drinks. Will return for the tour.

We went and did the tour and tasting. Very informative tour that takes you up and allows you to see the fermentation tanks. Tour was $15 per person. The tour included a tasting of 3 of the bourbons as well as 2 others that change with their inventory. They have a bar area where you can sit and order a drink before or after the tour and typically have a good truck as well.Would definitely go back again, although I would skip the tour the second time and just head to the bar!

Awesome place! Seriously one of the most beautiful distilleries I've ever been to. My friend and I were attending a week-long class at Mitchell College and there was supposed to be a tasting/distillery tour for the group. Not enough people signed up so the group tour was cancelled. We decided to check out the distillery anyway. We were greeted right away when we walked in and offered a private tour/tasting. The woman (I forget her name) who was our guide was very knowledgeable and we really appreciated the tour and time she spent with us. 10/10 would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

I was invited to take a VIP tour of The Southern Distilling Company this past weekend in Statesville, NC. I've been on several tours at different distilleries and vineyards but this one was by far the most educational and learning experience for me. Our tour guides were the owner Pete and his wife Vienna. They started off by giving us the backstory on why the opened the distilling company in Statesville. We then walked through the factory learning about the fermentation process. We saw the process from beginning to end which was very exciting. My favorite part of the tour was sampling all the different spirits, bourbons and whiskey. I think we took so many shots I lost count but the liquor was so smooth and refreshing we didn't feel the buzz sneaking up. The second part of the tour we visited the new reception and event space which is used for wedding reception, parties, banquets or any special event and celebration.Next we headed over to the warehouse where the barrels are stored and aged before being bottled and shipped to stores and retailers. There is a store and bar on-site as well. This place is fun for the whole family. Santa was there taking pictures with the kids too.Another Food truck was on-site during our visit to provide food. I suggest you eat before the tour. Check their website for more details and times of tours.

Very interesting tasting session. The history is fun and the walking tour is cool. Nathan was a very good guide and answered all of our questions. I didn't realize every barrel had its own flavor. I would recommend taking this tour.

I took my husband here for his birthday. Our tour guide was entertaining and informative. He enjoyed the taste testing that followed the tour. There is also a nice variety of bottles to purchase.
