I placed a large order over the phone with two weeks notice. We ordered the Baked Chicken, Meatloaf, and our sides were collard greens, Mac and cheese, and bread option was corn bread. The general consensus of the food from our team was "it was alright". Speaking from a customer service perspective, it felt disorganized. The food arrived 30 minutes early, which was an issue due to not being set up, not having our truck drivers available for food, as we scheduled runs around the delivery time window... and it was an $80 delivery charge. I would hope for next time we would get better communication. We asked for cornbread and got half dinner rolls and half cornbread. Not many people were happy with the rest of the bread being dinner rolls, as we have plates reserved for people, and I wish the menu mentioned it was "bone in" baked chicken. That is an important aspect as, this was a work place luncheon, we really care about the ease of eating while we work. Collard greens could use some work, Mac and cheese everyone had mixed reviews. Meatloaf everyone seemed to like more than the baked chicken.

Wouldn't be our go to spot... We ordered to go, Wings, Mac and cheese and collard greens. For the wings we asked for 3 flavors and when we got home we were disappointed to see only 2. The wings were super small, everything was lacking flavor, for what we payed it was overpriced for sure We had a slice of tres leches for 8 dollars and my wife said Publix was better! If Covid was to hit again Soul Central wouldn't survive Hope they read the reviews and make the difference

Food is always good when I go. Customer service can be a hit or miss, but food is flavorful and delish. I've never sat inside and ate, always got to go but they do have a few tables in there to dine in.

My friend and I visited this place seeing as he had the taste for a fried pork chop. While I had never been, we decided to give them a shot. Upon entering the restaurant it was very clean. The lady who took our order was more than nice she also gave recommendations. Seeing as we both ordered pork chops, they were cooked to order. I will say the sides are buffet style as well as some of the main courses. The service was quick, and the food was solid. In terms of soul food there are better choices in the city. However, this is still a solid choice. I would like to note that there is a banquet hall attached to which was very nice. Seems like they just recently had a wedding.

This place was a nice surprise. I used to live in the university area and wish this place was here when I was. The location is tucked away between the Bank of America and the Bojangles. The food was great. I honestly was a little worried as the food was seating covered in the counter similar to a buffet style. Yet, it was actually good. I was able to get the meatloaf with collards and green beans. All the sides are prepared without meat so you could have a totally vegetarian meal if you wanted. My wife got the BBQ chicken with green beans and mac&cheese. The BBQ chicken was fine. Yet, the sides were way better. Definitely, recommend it.

The food was amazing and the service was great also. I'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend it. Nice size portions and flavorful.

It was horrible everything I never been so disappointing the pork chop was. It fried and smother and very thin bananas putting. Sagggy and horrible I was so heart broken

I had high hopes for this place, but the moment I stepped in, I was hit with an overwhelming, stomach-churning smell that made me question my life choices. It was a confusing mix of old grease, mystery meat, and something vaguely resembling wet socks.Hoping the taste would redeem the scent, I braved the menu. Unfortunately, the food followed suit--bland where it should've had flavor, and somehow both overcooked and under-seasoned. The service was decent, but no amount of friendliness can make up for a meal that feels like a punishment.If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, this place delivers--but for all the wrong reasons. This place is "hit or miss" with the food. I've been here a few times and tried something different on each visit. Some days my meal was great and other days, not so much. I love their fried chicken, the collard greens were ok and the macaroni and cheese needs work. It didn't have much flavor More than once I've been disappointed in the cornbread. Its either burnt or too crumbly. One time I unfolded the wrapping it came in it literally fell apart. The service is sub par. I've never been treated disrespectfully but I haven't been treated like they appreciate my business. I know people can be worn out after a long day, but their employees could say "hello" or "how can I help you?" instead of just staring at me in silence when I walk up to the counter. The facility itself is clean and tidy so that's a big plus.

Food is bland, service poor. Cabbage over cooked. Mac and cheese average. No plates all plastic wear . Ambiance fair music too loud. No friendly!!!!
